Skyblock - Ultimate Island Survival

Whats up guys racing raftaar here. So today i am bringing you a really massive project that i have been working on. We all know that skyblock is probably the most famous minecraft game mode ever created. But if you want to play it on bedrock edition with your friends you usually have to download a pre made map. The problem with maps is that you cant really reset your island easily or have multiple people making their own separate islands. So i decided to code the entire skyblock experience into a single addon. This RR Skyblock addon completely changes how the game generates the world and gives you a fully working menu system to manage your skyblock adventure.

​Island Generation and Biomes

When you first join the world you will spawn in a small bedrock lobby. You will automatically get a Skyblock Menu compass in your inventory. All you have to do is sneak and right click the compass to open the UI menu. From there you just click on Island and generate your first normal biome island. It takes a few seconds and then teleports you to your new home. It comes with a tree, some dirt and a chest with lava and ice to make your cobble generator. By the way in version 1.6.1 i finally fixed the annoying bug where the chest would spawn empty sometimes. Now the chest loot loads perfectly every time with a slight delay so the game registers it properly. But the coolest part is that you are not stuck with just one biome. As you play and break more blocks, your score goes up. This actually unlocks new biomes like Desert, Snow, Mushroom, Jungle, Nether and the End island. You can reset your island and pick a new biome anytime from the menu.

​Custom Nether Dimension

I always hated how in normal skyblock maps when you finally build a nether portal and go through it, it just spawns you in the regular vanilla nether. That ruins the whole skyblock feeling because you can just mine infinite blocks there. So i completely fixed this. In this addon when you go through the portal, it detects it and actually generates a custom Nether Skyblock island for you in the nether dimension. It gives you some glowstone, netherrack, a chest with soul sand and nether wart. So the true skyblock experience continues even in other dimensions. Just be careful not to fall off.

​Economy Shop and Upgrades

To make the game more fun i added a full economy system. Every time you mine blocks, harvest wheat, or kill mobs you earn coins automatically. You can also sell extra cobblestone or rotten flesh in the shop. You use this menu shop to buy things you need like extra dirt, saplings, sand, or diamond gear. Once you get rich enough you can go to the Upgrades tab. Here you can actually expand your island radius. You start with a small island but you can pay coins to expand it to medium, large, huge and massive sizes. You can also buy a mob spawner upgrade so monsters start spawning naturally on your island to build mob grinders.

​Challenges and Coop Multiplayer

Playing alone can get boring so i added a full co-op system. If your friends join the server you can open the menu and invite up to 3 nearby players to join your specific island. You share the same space and can build together. I also added a huge challenges menu. There are beginner challenges like making a cobblestone generator, all the way up to expert challenges like defeating the ender dragon. Every time you finish a challenge the game gives you free rewards like diamonds and gold apples. The game also tracks all your stats like blocks broken and deaths so you can see how much you have grinded.

​The Void Penalty

I have to warn you guys about falling. In this addon if you fall into the void, you do not just respawn with your items. The addon detects when you hit the void and it completely clears your inventory. You lose everything except your menu compass and it teleports you back to your island. So you really have to be careful when building bridges or fighting mobs near the edge. It makes the game very intense.

​How to Apply in Minecraft

Installing this is super easy. Just download the addon file and click on it so it imports into your game. Then create a new world. I highly recommend making the world type flat so you dont see random mountains at the bottom. Go to behavior packs and activate the RR Skyblock addon. Then go to the experiments and turn on the required toggles so everything works.

​Beta APIs Setup

Since this whole addon runs on custom scripts to generate the islands dynamically and uses the compass to open the UI menus, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. If you dont toggle it on the compass will not work and you will just be stuck at spawn forever doing nothing.
