Whats up guys racing raftaar here. Today i am bringing you a massive update to my xp overhaul addon. In vanilla minecraft getting xp is way too easy. You just build a simple mob farm or mine some nether quartz and suddenly you are level 30. It makes the game feel too easy and boring because there is no real struggle to enchant your gear or repair your tools. So i decided to completely change how the entire experience system works in the game. This is version 2.1 and I made it a hardcore difficulty addon. If you want a real challenge for your survival world then this is exactly what you need.

​How The Hard Mode Works

​In this addon I reduced the xp you get from almost everything in the game. Normal movement like walking jumping or sprinting gives absolutely zero xp now. You only get 1 xp for swimming climbing or flying around with an elytra. Mining is also heavily nerfed so you really have to work for it. Breaking normal blocks like stone gives 1 xp but mining diamonds gives 5 xp and ancient debris gives 10. Combat is much harder too. Killing a normal zombie or skeleton only gives 3 xp so mob farms will take forever to level you up. You really have to grind. Even crafting and smelting give very little xp now. Eating food gives 1 xp and breeding animals gives 5. But I kept the boss fights rewarding so killing the ender dragon gives 100 xp and the wither gives 80. Also if you die you actually get punished and lose 3 xp from your total.

​Real XP And The Action Bar

​The biggest feature in this update is that the addon now gives you real minecraft xp. In my older versions it was just a custom number on the screen but now all the xp you earn goes directly into your real green xp bar at the bottom of the screen. This means you can actually use this xp to enchant your swords or repair your armor in an anvil. Whenever you do any activity like chopping wood or eating bread, a really clean action bar pops up. It shows exactly how much xp you got, the reason you got it, your current level and your total lifetime xp. It also plays a nice orb sound when you get xp and a huge level up sound when your actual level increases. I also fixed the annoying undefined issue that was happening in the old action bar.

​Combo Multipliers

​I also added a combo system to make grinding a bit more exciting. If you do things back to back really fast, like killing a bunch of mobs or mining a huge vein of iron, you start building a combo. When your combo hits 3 or more you start getting a multiplier bonus on your xp. The action bar will show your combo multiplier so you know you are earning extra. The timer is about 60 seconds so you have to keep moving and doing things to keep the combo alive.

​The Stats Menu And Compass

​Because this addon tracks over 100 different activities I wanted to give you a way to see all your stats. When you first join the world the game welcomes you and gives you a compass. If you use the compass it opens the main UI menu. Here you can check your full stats like how many blocks you broke, how much distance you walked, how many mobs you killed and your highest combo. There is also an activity log that shows your last 25 xp gains and exactly when they happened. You can also check all the exact xp values for different categories right from the menu so you know what to grind. And if the action bar or particles annoy you, there is a settings tab to turn them off.

​How To Apply In Minecraft

​Applying this addon is very simple. You just download the file and tap on it to open it in minecraft. Then you go to your world settings and scroll down to the addons section. Find the RR XP Overhaul Hard Mode addon and activate it. You dont need to worry about any complicated command block setups because everything runs in the background scripts automatically. Just make sure it is at the top of your load order.

​Beta APIs Setup

​Since this addon uses custom scripting to track exactly what blocks you are breaking and what mobs you are killing, it needs the experimental features to work. Before you load into your world you absolutely must go to the experiments section and turn on the Beta APIs toggle. If you dont enable this the compass menu will not open and the action bar will not show up at all so please remember to do this.
