RR Sheep Loot - Random Drops

Whats up guys racing raftaar here again. Today i am bringing you a really funny and crazy behavior pack for your survival worlds. So if you think about it sheep are kinda useless in vanilla minecraft. You just shear them once to get some wool to make a bed and then you never look at them again.

It is super boring. So i wanted to make sheep farming actually exciting and profitable. I created the RR Sheep Loot addon. This pack completely changes what happens when you use shears on a sheep. Instead of dropping boring white wool, the sheep literally acts like a lucky block and drops random items from a huge custom loot table.

​The Random Loot System

So how it works is very simple. You just walk up to any sheep in the game with a pair of shears and shear it. The wool disappears instantly and a random item spawns in its place. There are over 250 different items you can get. I divided all the loot into five different rarity tiers so it is balanced. Common drops happen 60 percent of the time and give you basic stuff like dirt, seeds, saplings and food. Uncommon is 25 percent and gives iron, gold and redstone. Rare is 10 percent and drops diamonds, emeralds, music discs and even iron or diamond gear.

Epic is 4 percent and this is where it gets crazy. You can get full netherite gear, totems of undying and cool armor trims. And finally Legendary is 1 percent. If you hit this you can get an elytra, a nether star, a mace or a dragon head directly from a sheep. It plays a massive totem sound and announces it to the whole server so your friends know you got insanely lucky.

​Milestones and Easter Eggs

I also added a tracking system because i love giving you guys rewards for grinding. The game tracks exactly how many sheep you have sheared in your lifetime. When you hit 100 shears the game announces you as a Master Barber and gives you a free diamond. At 500 shears it gives you a netherite ingot. And if you sit there and shear 1000 sheep you get a free elytra. It is a really fun grind. Oh and there is also a 2 percent chance to trigger a Lucky bonus where you get an extra random item at the same time. I also threw in some funny easter eggs.

Like if the sheep drops rotten flesh or a bone the game will send you a funny chat message about the sheep being spooky or needing a bath. I just put that in to make you laugh while farming.

​Beta APIs Setup

Because this pack uses advanced custom scripts to intercept the shearing action and instantly delete the wool and spawn the custom loot, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings.

The scripts also use dynamic properties to save your total shear count forever so if you dont turn on the beta apis the addon will not work and sheep will just drop normal wool.
