# Random Block Drops
Break a block. Get something completely different.
**Random Block Drops** changes what happens when you mine, chop or dig: instead of the normal drop, every broken block gives you **one random item** picked from every item registered in the game.
Dirt might give you a diamond. Diamond ore might give you a dirt block... or a banner, or a music disc, or a boat. You never know.
## Features
- 🎲 One random item for every block you break
- 📦 Picks from all items in the game, including items added by other addons
- 🚫 Technical and unobtainable items are excluded (command blocks, barriers, structure blocks, etc.)
- 🛠️ Creative mode is not affected
- ⚡ Lightweight, no resource pack, no extra assets
- 🧩 Built on the stable Minecraft Script API (`@minecraft/server`)
## Installation
1. Download `RandomBlockDrops.mcaddon`.
2. Open the file. Minecraft will import it automatically.
3. Create or edit a world and enable **Random Block Drops** in the **Behavior Packs** section.
4. Play in Survival and start breaking blocks.
## Important notes
- The addon turns off the `doTileDrops` game rule in the world so normal drops don't appear. This means blocks destroyed by explosions, pistons or water will not drop anything either.
- If you remove the addon from a world, run this command to restore normal drops:
`/gamerule doTileDrops true`
- If the addon doesn't load on your version, check the Content Log (Settings → Creator) for the required `@minecraft/server` version.
## Compatibility
Designed for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.x. Uses only the stable Script API, so it should work across minor updates. If something breaks after an update, leave a comment and I will fix it.
