Changed Features:
Bundle Emblem Nerf -
- The Bundle Emblem’s extra slots no longer count stacked Emblems, meaning that each slot will only give the emblems level 1 effect. To compensate, there is now a Shulker Emblem which gives extra slots that count stacked Emblems. I realized that being able to use multiple level 3 emblem effects at the same time was a bit too powerful for how easy getting a bundle emblem is, so I moved that power to the late game instead!
Gambeson Rebalance -
- The Gambeson no longer halves the penalty for attacking with a negative Recovery Speed. Instead, it negates any Stamina loss effects when being attacked.
Hammer Rebalance -
- Hammers have taken a hit in their combat effectiveness but stun for longer. Hammers no longer have half the cooldown as other tools, and the duration and power of their slowness increases directly with attack damage. These changes were made to lower the effectiveness of the lower tier Hammers (wooden, copper, Stone); their high attack damage and stun mixed a bit too well with their low attack cooldowns, making killing monsters very easy.
Project Page Improvements -
- The Raid’s Stuff Project page for Curseforge and MCPEDL has been updated to include new features and more accurate descriptions of old ones. (It also just looks a lot better now!)
Recovery Speed Buff -
- The duration of weakness given for attacking with a heavy weapon has been halved, letting you now attack faster!
Stamina Buff -
- Crouching now recovers Stamina twice as fast as before!
Wiki Improvements -
- Fixed various spelling mistakes and poorly worded descriptions. Categories have also been regrouped to match the project page descriptions.
Looking Into the Future:
I am making a couple of last minute changes before I go back to school. Quality of Life was a big focus of this update. The changes to Stamina, Gambesons and Recovery Speed were made with Raid Arena II in mind, but they still serve to improve the QoL too. The Wiki was a bit rushed, and the project page was in desperate need of updating, so I fixed up the wiki and used the same descriptions in it for the page as well. Now both give the same information and are accurate to the current version of Raid’s Stuff.
For future updates, I have some plans written down for updates to Spells and Goblins. I am thinking about a possible End expansion update too because I am working on a kit for Raid Arena II that is end themed and need an excuse to add those items in. I am not too interested in adding structures or biomes to the game, but in a recent playthrough of the game with the Better On Bedrock add-on (it’s an amazing add-on that’s way larger than this one. I highly recommend checking it out), my friends really enjoyed exploring its dungeons and other structures, so I may look into adding some to Raid’s Stuff too. Custom Structures would be a good way to give out new items without messing up the vanilla lootpools after all.
