Description

Description:

Raid’s Stuff is a large add-on that takes Minecraft back to its core: building cool bases, collecting resources, and fighting monsters. Raid’s Stuff adds a variety of new tools, mobs, and blocks, and changes some vanilla features like hunger and enchanting to refocus Minecraft’s progression back to the core aspects of the game.

When it comes to building a cool base, the vanilla game already provides hundreds of blocks to use. Raid’s Stuff simply adds new blocks to decorate with. Admittedly, this is the least fleshed out part of Raid’s Stuff, but more will be added in the future! Raid’s Stuff attempts to add some motivation to building a good base by changing hunger to stamina, preventing players from simply running away from any monsters.

At the very least—and this is not a part of Raid’s Stuff but it is balanced around these being turned off—disabling natural regeneration and sleeping gives pretty good incentives for making a solid base.

There are many resources to collect in Minecraft, but so few tools to collect them. Raid’s Stuff adds a variety of brand new tools and customization options to shake things up a bit. Get annoyed when a tree is just a bit too tall to chop with an axe? Try the Halberd! Clearing out a large area of land? Use a hammer instead of a pickaxe! Need more durability? Infuse your tool with Amethyst! The list goes on and on.

Fighting monsters is a core part of Minecraft, but swords are just so boring, which is why Raid’s Stuff also has a variety of new weapons to use as well! Want higher damage? Use a Battleaxe. Need to move faster? Craft a Katana! Or maybe you want some quick ranged attacks, craft a Staff! Weapons are not the only thing Raid’s Stuff adds either, players can also craft a variety of spells that give very strong but short status effects to help when fighting. Additionally, Raid’s Stuff adds a variety of new monsters to encounter as well!

A core part of Raid’s Stuff is building cool and unique loadouts tailored to what you want to do and where you do it. Chopping wood in a forest, for example, does not need you to have fully enchanted Netherite Armor; that is just silly! Raid’s Stuff will have you constantly changing your armor, tools, and other equipment to best fit the task at hand!

In keeping with the spirit of player-choice, though, all the vanilla features that Raid's Stuff changes are all optional. If you just want the new items, then you can download the “no vanilla changes” version of the add-on. So, whether you’re looking for a different take on the Minecraft you love, or just want to mess around with new tools, Raid’s Stuff has a little bit of something for everyone.

Tools and Weapons:

The Tools of Raid’s Stuff are by far the best and most fleshed-out feature of the addon. Raid’s Stuff was originally a remastered collection of all my previous Add-ons, which were just survival-friendly versions of the add-ons used in my PvP maps. As such, the tools of Raid’s Stuff also double up as weapons and feel incredibly fun to use.

Battleaxe

As a tool, the Battleaxe is best used to destroy large chunks of wooden walls in houses. It mines in a 3x3 pattern, allowing for quick and easy holes to be created in a wall or ceiling, or just simply destroying it entirely.

As a weapon, the Battleaxe is best used for fighting large groups of mobs all at once. While it may have a low recovery speed, its right click ability, Swing, does a far reaching, low damage sweep in front of the player. While the Swing does not do a lot of damage, it will stun monsters in place, allowing the battleaxe’s high attack damage to quickly take out any high value targets, like baby zombies, easily.

Battleaxes have access to Axe Enchantments.

Katana

As a mobility item, the katana acts as a short ranged Ender Pearl, Instantly “Dashing” (Teleporting) players a short distance, dealing a small amount of damage to any mobs in the way. It is best used for jumping over small gaps and negating fall damage. It’s also surprisingly good at dodging ranged attacks from skeletons or Ghasts.

As a weapon, the Katana is okay. It deals slightly less damage than a sword, but has a positive recovery speed, allowing players to naturally regain stamina when attacking from the get-go, no redstone infusion required. The dashing makes it much easier to get up close to skeletons and other ranged mobs.

Katanas have access to Sword Enchantments.

Halberd

As a tool, the Halberd is best used to chop down large trees. It mines two blocks at a time instead of one, making chopping down spruce and birch trees much easier.

The Halberd really shines as a weapon, dealing solid attack damage and insane poison damage with its Jab ability. A single Jab from a Netherite Halberd, for example, does a total of 12 damage! The Halberd is best for dealing lots of damage to crowds.

Scythe

As a tool, the Scythe  is very good at harvesting crops, mining in 5 blocks wide and 2 blocks out. Not much else to say about it—its a Scythe, what did you think it would do?

As a weapon, the Scythe deals massive damage and has an incredibly wide swing. You are guaranteed to hit any monster in front of you with the Scythe’s swing, it’s huge! Additionally, if you hit something with your swing, you will regenerate some stamina.

Hammer

As a tool, the Hammer is best at strip mining. It mines in a 3x3 grid, allowing for more blocks to be mined at once and more changes to find ores. Hammers, however, have a pretty high Recovery Time, so pickaxes will mine faster in the long run.

As a weapon, the Hammer is incredible at stunning targets. Unlike the Battleaxe which stuns monsters using its swing ability, the Hammer will damage and stun any monster you attack alongside anything else near it. The Hammer also has an insane amount of attack damage too. Hammers are kept in-check by their Attack Cooldown, which unlike Recovery Speed, completely stops the Hammer from attacking again for a considerably longer duration.

Staff

The staffs are both a melee and ranged weapon. As a melee weapon, they do a good amount of damage. The Staff’s ability, Whack, sends out a small burst of wind that damages enemies.

Staffs take sword enchantments.

Stamina System:

Probably the second biggest change in Raid’s Stuff, hunger has been completely reworked into Stamina. This feature is completely optional, and not included in the “No Vanilla Changes” version of the add-on. Instead of needing to eat food to continue sprinting, your hunger bar—now called your Stamina bar—simply regains Stamina passively, but running will cause it to diminish quickly. Crouching will cause you to regain Stamina faster, and so will having a positive Recovery Speed. Also, a negative Recovery Speed does not cause Stamina to recover slower, but will cause the player to lose Stamina when hit.

Food has also been adjusted to still be useful in the new system. Instead of just simply regenerating stamina, consuming food will also heal you! Currently there are five different types of healing given from food:

-Cooked Meats will instantly heal 6 health

-Raw meat will poison the player, causing them to lose 1 health.

-Baked Goods—bread, pumpkin pie, and baked potatoes—will heal 12 health across 30 seconds

-Crops and Cookies will quickly heal 3 health.

-Soups will instantly heal all health

Item Stats and Stat Viewer:

Raid’s Stuff adds quite a few new stats to the game. Primarily, it adds Item Abilities, Mining Patterns, and Recovery Speeds to tools. Additionally, Raid’s Stuff also shows stats that are otherwise hidden like Mining Speed, Item Cooldowns, and Durability.

Stats can be found in an items lore, and are sorted as follows:

For armor:

+Armor (vanilla)

+/-Recovery Speed

+Passive

Durability (vanilla)

For tools:

+Attack Damage (vanilla)

+Mining Speed (vanilla)

+Mining Pattern

+/-Recovery Speed

+Ability Damage

+Ability Range

+Ability Pattern

-Ability/Attack Cooldown (vanilla)

+Passive

Durability (vanilla)

Recovery Speed is the most unique new stat. Unlike other stats, Recovery Speed is taken as the sum total of all the Recovery Speeds of a player’s equipped armor, offhand item, and held item. Below is a table showing what happens when a player performs an action with either a positive or negative Recovery Speed. Recovery Speed also affects the rate at which the player passively regains Stamina.

Mining Pattern determines the way in which blocks are destroyed by certain tools. Mining Patterns are either set to the (x/y) or (x/z) axis. (x/y) means that the blocks will break as if you were staring straight at them, while (x/z) means the blocks will break as if you were looking from above.

Ability Damage, Range, Pattern, and Cooldown are all pretty self-explanatory. Ability Damage determines the amount of damage an ability will do, Range determines how far away the ability will happen and how large its radius will be, Pattern determines where the ability activates relative to the player, and Cooldown is how long the player has to wait before being able to use the ability again.

The Passive Stat is like a bonus ability. It activates when the player does a specific action such as using an ability or attacking.

Infused Gear:

To further customizability, armor and gear can now be infused with either Redstone, Lapis, or Amethyst. Infusing gear will boost its stats and sometimes gives new passives. To infuse a piece of armor or a tool, simply surround it with the corresponding item in the crafting table.

Ores and materials:

Brass

Brass is not naturally found in the world, but is made using 3 Copper and 1 Iron Ingot. Brass gear has similar stats to iron, but with the durability of Copper gear. Brass Ingots can also be crafted into a trumpet, which makes funny sounds. Skeletons can also sometimes spawn with trumpets and make funny sounds too.

Ruby

Ruby Ore can be found underground at all Y-levels below 30. It is somewhat rare, and can either be crafted into gear or used to barter with Goblins. Ruby Gear has similar stats to diamond, but with Iron Durability.

Monsters:

Raid’s Stuff adds a couple new monsters alongside some variations of existing ones. These new monsters do not add much to the game, but simply fun additions to the cast of enemies in the game.

Goblins

Goblins are tiny, neutral mobs that spawn in groups during the day and fight other monsters. They can spawn with Wooden or Stone Swords, Crossbows, and with Wooden Armor. Wooden Armor is unique in that it absorbs all damage when worn like a shield. Goblins can be bartered with Rubies, and give various grasses, woods, and stones in return.

Wandering Spirits

Wandering Spirits are transparent, hostile mobs that can only be killed at night. They mostly spawn underground in complete darkness or in Soul Sand Valleys. They will phase through blocks and fly toward the player when nearby. Wandering Spirits do not deal a lot of attack damage, but can be a nuisance if the player does not have any torches.

Mimics

Mimics are small, blocky creatures that spawn in groups underground that look like stone or other ores. Trying to mine a Mimic, or mining a block nearby will cause it and all other Mimics nearby to transform into dark, blaze-like creatures that attack you. Mimics’ attack also gives blindness. Upon death, Mimics will sometimes drop blinding rods, which can be crafted into the Blinding Staff or blinding powder, an ingredient in Smoke Bombs.

Armored Zombies and Trumpet Skeletons

Armored Zombies are just zombies that have an increased chance to spawn with iron armor and swords. Trumpet Skeletons are skeletons that have a trumpet instead of a bow. They also make funny sounds!

Items

Scrolls

Scrolls are a brand new form of obtaining Enchanted Books, and replace the Enchanting Table for the pre-End City portion of the game (the Enchanting Table’s crafting recipe has been altered to include End Rods, locking it to after players kill the dragon). Scrolls can be found in various structures throughout the world, and have Enchantments on them that craft the corresponding books. Higher level scrolls can be crafted using 4 lower level ones with the same enchantment (i.e 4 Sharpness IV scrolls make 1 Sharpness V one). Occasionally a blank scroll will be found, which can be given any enchantment surrounding it and a corresponding item with diamonds in a crafting table. Blank scrolls can also be obtained via villager trading. When crafting books, scrolls are not consumed, so once you have a certain scroll, you can craft as many books as you want.

Spells

Spells are like potions, but instead of giving a small effect for a prolonged amount of time, spells give a huge effect for a very short time. Spells are also renewable, so once you have one, you do not need to get more. Casting a Spell requires Energy Orbs, which can be crafted using materials found in the Nether. Getting Spells is simple: they can be crafted by surrounding a specific item with gold and glass in a crafting table.

Blocks

Colored Quartz

Wool, concrete, and terracotta all have a vast 16 color options to choose from; however, despite all these choices, Minecraft is lacking a solid pastel palette for building. That is where colored quartz comes in! By dying a quartz block, you can get a pastel colored block to build with! Every type of Quartz block now has 16 color variants you can use!

Waxed Grass

Minecraft’s grass has many different hughes and colors depending on the biome you find yourself in, but despite the large variety, your builds are stuck using the grass color of the biome you're in. Waxed grass fixes this by allowing you to “wax” your grass, flowers, saplings, and foliage to be a certain color. Waxed blocks will keep their biome color and can be placed anywhere. To wax a block, simply put it and some honey comb in the crafting table alongside the corresponding biome leaves.

No Vanilla Changes Version

Raid’s Stuff messes with the following vanilla features:

Future update plans:

6.0 Update: I plan on adding some items that expand on the exploring/looting aspects of the game. I also want to cut back on the changes to vanilla files I made in the 5.0 update. I want to keep the features, of course, but find a better way of adding them in. Est. Release: Summer 2026

(Formally went by RaidGames) I love making Minecraft maps and addons for Bedrock edition. I consider myself to be more of a map creator, a lot of my recent work has been addons. Updates are slow because college is evil.
