5/3/2026 PERISH v1.1.0: The Preservation Update. * **New Item:** Preservative Salt (Amethyst + Sugar) — Add +1 day to food life. * (Texture is WIP, Im still learning.)

To use Preservative salt, have food in hotbar. Left most food slot will be affected in hotbar. (if you have food in slot 5 and then another stack of food in slot 8, the mod chooses the food in the left most slot, meaning slot 5 or whatever slot it is in your gameplay)

**Refrigeration:** Ice, Packed Ice, and Blue Ice now slow or stop decay in some containers. *

**Inventory Fix:** Items now stack correctly by syncing expiration dates. * **Storage Tiers:** Barrels are now better than Chests for food storage. *

**New Balance:** Meats (3 days), Veg (5 days), Cookies (20 days), Magic (Infinite)

Use barrels with ICE, packed ice, or blue ice to preserve meat longer! it makes a difference.  If you salt meat and use barrels with ice you can preserve meat even longer.

> **Bug Fix:** Fixed a critical issue where the rot was so confused by barrels it accidentally reversed the flow of time. Fun fact—the color code for dark gray text is **§8**, accidentally left that **‘8’** in the math logic. This meant every 2 seconds, your food's life expectancy grew by another digit. Sadly, **"Immortal Time-Traveling Beef"** (Expiration: Day 88,888,883) has been removed. You actually have to survive now.



Ps. The rot is persistent, but it is not all-knowing. If you are clever enough to engineer a way to bypass the rot, consider yourself a survivor.
