OriginsPE v6.0.0.mcaddon
What's new
Changelog v6.0.0
This update brings new brand new Origins: the Child of Zeus, and the Vampire! Additionally, one new Class has been added: the Athlete. The architecture and foundation of the Add-On's code has also been re-written from the ground up to allow for maintainability and readability! As well as many balancing, tweaks, bug fixes, QoL and UI changes.
New Origins
Child of Zeus
Descendants of the great thunder God, capable of controlling the lightning itself.
- Wrath of Olympus: Conjures a powerful throwable Trident on your hand, creating an explosion and damaging mobs and players on impact. Has a 30-second cooldown.
- Divine Ascent: Gifted with the power of skies, you can double jump able to hover and float around under a foam of clouds. You are also immune from fall damage.
- Static Energy: The power of electricity gushes in you. Applies slowness on mobs & players you hit, which lasts for 6 seconds.
- Discharge: Whenever you deal damage on other mobs & players that are slowed, there is a 30% chance you will stun them for 1-2 seconds. Stunned enemies additionally takes 1 health of damage for every 2 unique metallic items in your inventory.
- Surge Protection: You are immune from lightning damage.
- Claustrophobic: As a God from the skies, you aren't used to being underneath. You gain weakness whenever you're underground or not in the Overworld.
- Severed Connection: The End and the Nether have no skies. You are unable to call upon the Wrath of Olympus on dimensions other than the Overworld.
Vampire
Utilizing acute sensory adaptation and blood-tracking abilities, they excel at hunting down targets across dimensions and turning their prey's life force against them.
- Bat Form: Use the ability to switch into a bat form, allowing you to fly. While in bat form, you cannot burn in daylight, but also cannot be able to attack nor use your tools. Use again to transform back.
- Bloodthirsty: As a Vampire, your diet is limited to drinking blood. You may not satiate your hunger with normal foods, and instead can only drink blood. Blood is restored every time you hit any living being. If your blood reaches zero, you get weakness and will continuously take damage.
- Death Sense: You are able to sense nearby entities in the brink of death. Inflicting players and mobs with 20% of health or less, guarantees a fatal damage that can kill them.
- Nocturnal: At night, you are able to see more clearly with night vision, and speed.
- Regenerative: When not in full health, you regenerate faster at the expense of quickly draining your blood. However, you cannot regenerate while burning.
- Undead: Your undead condition makes you immune to poison and freezing damage, but weak to fire, and sunlight. You also don't have to breath underwater to survive.
New Classes
Athlete
A high-mobility class that excels in speed, and stamina.
- Speedy: You can walk, swim, and sprint a bit more faster than usual.
- Strong: Your punches deal 1 more damage.
Revamped Origins
Diviner
In terms of abilities, the Diviner proved to be lacking: very limited with one player linking, and did not live up to its expectations sufficiently with it's unique playstyle as a support/tank Origin. This change is aimed to promote this unique archetype and boost it's potential for players to seek through.
- Prescience: (Buffed)
- Can now link up to 3 more players; instead of 1.
- Health pool increased is now more accurate to the amount of HP all the linked players have.
- Intervention: (New ability)
- Allows the Diviner to swap places with any of its linked players.
- Has a 120-second long cooldown before each use.
- Oracle: (Buffed)
- Damage dealt and healing received is now distributed amongst players that are linked together, instead of on solely the Diviner themselves.
- Aegis: (Buffed)
- Damaged received directly by the Diviner is no longer deflected back to the attacker, much like thorns enchantment.
- Instead, it now prevents the Diviner, and players whom it is linked with, from death--much like the Totem of Undying.
- If the Diviner is not linked to anybody, this effect can still trigger on their own for the Diviner themselves.
- Has a 120-second long cooldown before it can be triggered again.
- Divine Aura: (Unchanged)
- Fragility: (Unchanged)
- Instability: (Unchanged)
Elven
To balance things out with other new Origins capable of potentially dealing massive damage, the Elven's survivability has been improved as well as making its damage output more consistent.
- Lifeweaver: (Buffed)
- The amount of health restored is now fixed to half of the damage taken.
- This means that if it receives 10 hearts of damage, they will recover 5 immediately--as well as Absorption that scales depending on the amount of that damage it took.
- Can be triggered only once every two seconds.
- Endless Quiver: (Unchanged)
- Imbued Shots: (Buffed)
- Additional damage dealt when using bow and arrow against other mobs and players will now work, instead of just on undead mobs.
- Damage dealt is equivalent to the current amount of health the Elven has.
- Elegant: (New Nerf)
- Can no longer wear non-leather armor.
- Can no longer wield non-bow weapons.
- Swift: (Unchanged)
- Permeable: (Unchanged)
Voidwalker
We want to make this Origin further focus on a high-risk, high-damage playstyle. Capable of dishing out a ton of damage, but in return taking a toll on it's own as well.
- Beelzebub: (Adjusted)
- Minor description change to match more with ability behavior.
- Soulburst: (Buffed)
- Now deals additional damage based on the Voidwalker's missing health.
- Will now also restore health based on the health of the entity it killed.
- Umbral Veil: (Balanced)
- Instead of ignoring projectile-type damage only, can now ignore melee attacks as well.
- Causes the Voidwalker now to be more hungry when sprinting.
- Sinister Aura: (Nerfed)
- Now only applies to passive/friendly entities instead of all entities, including hostile.
