- 17 real-life bear species with biome-based looks (brown, black, grizzly, Kodiak, spirit, sun, sloth, moon, spectacled, glacier and more)
- Brown bears, black bears and Kodiaks each have their own health, damage and size
- Bluff charge: bears rear up and roar before attacking, and let you go if you back off
- Protective mothers: hurting a cub enrages every adult bear nearby
- Bears always raid nearby beehives, even bee nests in trees, and get stung by bees while eating
- Bears fish in water and sometimes fling the fish onto the shore
- Bears eat sweet berries
- All bears sleep at night, and wake up angry if you get too close
- Bears swim fast
- Breedable, with cubs that keep their parent's look
- Fully animated: walk, run, swim, attack, roar, sit, eat, fish, sleep and 5 idle animations
- Bear dens: hidden mounds with a mother and cubs, in forest, snowy and badlands styles
- New items: Bear Pelt and Bear Claw
