Platform: Minecraft Bedrock Edition

Overview

Obsidian Pack introduces a complete tier of obsidian-based equipment to Minecraft Bedrock, including a full armor set, multiple weapon variants, crafting materials, and upgrade templates. All items are handcrafted with custom 3D models, textures, and scripted abilities, offering a meaningful progression step beyond Netherite.

Obsidian Pack v3.5 — Oberite Special Skills

✨ NEW: Active Skills for Oberite Weapons

Right-click (use) with each Oberite weapon to trigger its unique skill (8s cooldown, varies by weapon):

• ytaun:oberite_sword — Molten Slash Fan-shaped fire burst in front of the player. Deals 6 damage, ignites (4s), and knocks back enemies in range (~4.5 blocks). Grants the user brief Fire Resistance.

• ytaun:big_oberite_sword — Magma Crash Ground slam AOE (5-block radius). Deals 9 damage, strong knockback + knock-up, and ignites (3s) all nearby enemies. Longer cooldown due to its heavy weight.

• ytaun:long_semin_oberite_sword — Shadow Flicker Dagger dash: teleports the player ~5 blocks forward in their look direction, dealing 7 damage to anything in the dash path. Shortest cooldown of the three.

🛡️ NEW: Full Set Bonus

Wearing all 4 Oberite armor pieces (oberite_helmet + oberite_chestplate + oberite_legging + oberite_boot) grants a continuously refreshed passive buff:

• Fire Resistance
• Regeneration I
• Absorption I
• A subtle purple (dragon-breath) aura around the player as a visual tell.

Bug fixes and balancing:

Revised the formula and damage of the Big Obsidian Battle Axe, rebalanced the damage of all weapons. 

2.0:

Obsidian Pack 2.0 brings full compatibility with java PvP Core(by YTAUN).

All weapons now hook into the Java PvP system via item tags,

enabling proper attack cooldowns and damage values in PvP combat.

Swords

- `obsidian_sword` — 0.55s cooldown

- `longobsidian_sword` — 0.55s cooldown

- `longobsidian_sword_upgrage` — 0.6s cooldown

- `bigobsidian_sword` — 0.6s cooldown

Axes

- `obsidian_battle_axe` — 0.9s cooldown

- `obsidian_battle_axebig` — 1.3s cooldown

 📦 Requirements

- Java PvP Core v1.1must be installed and loaded before this addon.

- Load order: Java PvP Core BP → Obsidian Pack BP → (resource packs)

- If Java PvP Core is **not** installed, this addon runs as standard

  Bedrock Edition combat with no cooldown system.

 🔁 Other Changes

- Renamed pack to **Obsidian Pack 2.0

- All UUIDs regenerated — safe to install alongside older versions without conflicts.

ℹ️ Notes

- No base stats were changed. Damage values remain the same as v1.3.

- Resource pack (textures, models, animations) is unchanged.

- This update only affects PvP servers using Java Pvp core

Armor Set

The Obsidian Armor set provides strong protection with high knockback resistance (0.75) across all four pieces. Each piece is enchantable and repairable using Obsidian Sharp or Big Obsidian Shard.

Obsidian Helmet — Protection: 3, Durability: 1,000

Obsidian Chestplate — Protection: 8, Durability: 1,500

Obsidian Leggings — Protection: 6, Durability: 1,300

Obsidian Boots — Protection: 3, Durability: 900

Total armor value: 20, comparable to Netherite with significantly higher knockback resistance.

Weapons

Obsidian Sword

Damage: 7 | Durability: 1,300

Standard obsidian sword. Crafted with Obsidian Sharp, Big Obsidian Shard, a Blaze Rod, and Obsidian.

Big Obsidian Sword

Damage: 8 | Durability: 1,000

Wider blade variant. Cuts through cobwebs instantly. Crafted with Obsidian Sharp and Big Obsidian Shard.

Long Obsidian Sword

Damage: 7 | Durability: 1,500

Extended reach design. Upgraded from Big Obsidian Sword using Change Smithing and a Blaze Rod.

Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword

Damage: 8 | Durability: 1,500

Special Ability: Summons a lightning bolt on the hit entity with each attack.

Crafted by upgrading the Long Obsidian Sword with Super Smithing Update and Lightning Rods.

Obsidian Battle Axe

Damage: 7 | Durability: 800 | Cooldown: 60 ticks

Triggers a special obsidian power strike on use. Upgraded version of the Big Battle Axe using Change Smithing.

Big Obsidian Battle Axe

Damage: 10 | Durability: 1,000 | Cooldown: 60 ticks

Heaviest weapon in the pack. Repairable with Emeralds. Crafted with Big Obsidian Shard, Obsidian Sharp, Netherite Ingot, and Blaze Rod.

Materials and Crafting Items

Big Obsidian Shard — Primary repair and crafting material for most obsidian items.

Obsidian Sharp — Minor repair material (+10 durability); also used in crafting.

Change Smithing — Upgrade template. Crafted with Gold Ingots, Diamonds, and a Netherite Upgrade Template.

Super Smithing Update — High-tier upgrade template used for the Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword.

Obsidian Carrot

A cursed food item that can always be eaten. On consume, it applies Nausea III, Poison V, Slowness I, Weakness IV, and Wither II. Converts into Obsidian Sharp upon consumption — a risky but resource-efficient way to obtain the material.

Crafting Progression

Big Obsidian Shard and Obsidian Sharp are the base materials used to craft the Obsidian Sword and Big Obsidian Sword. The Big Obsidian Sword can then be upgraded into the Long Obsidian Sword using Change Smithing and a Blaze Rod. From there, combining the Long Obsidian Sword with Super Smithing Update and Lightning Rods produces the Upgraded Long Obsidian Sword, the strongest weapon in the pack.

Requirements

- Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.0 or higher

- Both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack must be applied to the world

- Experimental features must be enabled: Holiday Creator Features and Beta APIs

Installation

1. Download the .mcaddon file.

2. Open the file — Minecraft will import both packs automatically.

3. Create or edit a world, apply the Resource Pack and Behavior Pack.

4. Enable Beta APIs under Experimental settings.

5. Play.
