Obsidian All Tools

Obsidian is the block that guards the End - the one you need a diamond pickaxe just to
touch. This add-on turns it into a full metal: an ore, an ingot, a complete arsenal of
weapons and tools, and a whole set of armour.

Everything here is stronger than netherite: more damage, more durability, faster mining
and better protection. It works in survival and creative, needs no experimental toggles,
uses no scripts, and every piece can be repaired in an anvil with Obsidian Ingots.

WHY IT FEELS STRONGER THAN NETHERITE
--------------------------------------------------

- More damage: the axe does 18, the sword 14. A netherite sword does 8.
- More durability: 4200 to 5200 uses. Netherite gear is 2031.
- Faster mining: dig speed 16. Netherite is 9.
- Better armour: 24 protection points in total. A full netherite set gives 20.
- Better enchanting: enchantability 20. Netherite is 15.
- Repairable: use Obsidian Ingots in an anvil.
- Tool tags are set, so the enchanting table, anvil, grindstone and smithing table
  all treat them like real tools and real armour.

THE ORE
--------------------------------------------------

Obsidian Shard Ore spawns naturally in the Overworld, in two variants:

  Obsidian Shard Ore            stone variant,   Y -24 to Y 16
  Deepslate Obsidian Shard Ore  deepslate variant, Y -60 to Y -24

It generates in every Overworld biome, 4 to 6 vein attempts per chunk, so you will run
into it while strip mining. Each ore drops 1 to 2 Obsidian Shards.

The ore is slow to mine with a normal pickaxe, so bring a good one - or skip mining
completely and use the shortcut recipe below.

  Damage: 14   Durability: 4200   Fast swing, one-hits most mobs

Obsidian Axe
  Damage: 18   Durability: 4200   Heaviest hit in the pack, also chops wood fast

Obsidian Spear
  Damage: 12   Durability: 4000   Long reach style weapon

Obsidian Bow
  Durability: 2400, draws like a vanilla bow and uses normal Arrows

All Obsidian tools have dig speed 16 and 4200 durability (the Paxel has 5200).

  Damage: 8, mines stone, ores and metal blocks

Obsidian Shovel
  Damage: 8, mines dirt, sand, gravel and grass

Obsidian Hoe
  Damage: 6, hoes dirt and grass

Obsidian Paxel
  Damage: 10, works as pickaxe, axe and shovel at the same time - one item, three jobs

Full set gives 24 protection points. A full netherite set gives 20, so this set is
stronger than netherite. Every piece is enchantable and repairable.

Obsidian Apple

Nothing needs more than 9 ingots and every recipe is unlocked from the start, so it is
easy to get in survival. It is meant to be faster than grinding for netherite.

HOW TO INSTALL (please read step 3)
--------------------------------------------------

1. Download the .mcaddon file.
2. Open it with Minecraft. The behaviour pack and the resource pack both import
   automatically.
3. Open your world, go to Add-Ons, and enable "Obsidian All Tools" on BOTH sides -
   the behaviour pack AND the resource pack.
   If you only enable the behaviour pack, the items exist but have no textures, and they
   will look invisible in the inventory and in your hand. This is the number one reason
   people think the pack is broken.
4. Do not turn on experimental gameplay. It is not needed.
5. Play. Search "obsidian" in the creative inventory, or craft from the recipes above.

If the resource pack refuses to load, both halves are also included as separate files:
"Obsidian All Tools [BP].mcpack" and "Obsidian All Tools [RP].mcpack". Install the two
of them and activate them one by one.

For old worlds, the new ore only appears in chunks you have not visited yet. Travel a
few hundred blocks or make a new world. You can also use the crying obsidian recipe to
get ingots without mining at all.

Works on Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.80 and newer, on Android, iOS, Windows, Xbox
and PlayStation. Single player, multiplayer and Realms all work, but everyone in the
world needs the pack installed.

NOTES
--------------------------------------------------

- The ore is slow to mine by hand. That is intentional.
- The Obsidian Bow uses normal arrows, there is no special ammo.
- Armour durability is high but not infinite, it can still be repaired in an anvil.
- This pack only adds new items and blocks. It does not change vanilla obsidian, so it
  will not clash with other add-ons.
- Achievements are disabled in worlds where any add-on is active, like always.
- If something is actually broken, comment with your game version and what happened.
