📜 UPDATE LOG

V1.2.0 – Fire, Ice & Earth

New disasters: five new events in the Overworld. They can happen naturally, and are available in the Admin Menu, the Heart of Nature, Divine Heart and by tag.

Acid Rain: green rain and haze. It burns and poisons anyone under the open sky, and a helmet protects you but gets corroded. Leaves, plants and crops die and grass turns to dirt.

Hailstorm: falling hail with impact bursts. Hailstones are aimed at players in the open (a helmet reduces the damage), roof glass can shatter and plants get battered.

Wildfire: starts away from the player and spreads downwind through trees and grass. Smoke columns, embers, ash and smoke fog, plus nausea near the flames. The fires are put out when the event ends.

Landslide: needs a steep hillside. The slope rumbles as a warning, then collapses downhill, sweeping away trees and entities and piling rubble at the foot. High power can trigger several waves.

Sinkhole: cracks and tremors as a warning, then a deep funnel opens layer by layer, sometimes ending in a water-filled cenote. Players near the edge get Slow Falling.

Safety: only natural ground, plants and trees are affected. Player-made blocks are never touched, and everything respects the mobGriefing game rule.

Event chains: disasters can now trigger each other, with the normal warning countdown.

Drought → Wildfire → Acid Rain

Volcano → Acid Rain or Wildfire

Earthquake → Landslide or Sinkhole

Cave Earthquake → Sinkhole

Thunderstorm → Hailstorm or Wildfire

Hailstorm → Flood

Flood → Landslide

Tsunami → Landslide

Acid Rain → Landslide

Can be toggled in the Admin Menu (the setting is saved).

Improvements:

The warning before natural events now shows a live countdown.

New custom fog and atmosphere for Blizzard (white-out, thicker in the core), Thunderstorm (dark, heavy sky) and Volcanic Eruption (ashy haze), applied and removed per player.

The Admin Menu lets you choose the intensity (I to V) of any event.

The Weather Compass, Status menu and in-game Changelog list the new events.

V1.1.2

New event: Droug A mild, long event (about 4 minutes) in the Overworld. It can happen naturally in clear/windy weather and is available in the Admin Menu, the Heart of Nature, Divine Heart and by tag (drought). Atmosphere: heat shimmer rising from the ground, drifting dust motes, dry dust puffs, a warm haze (custom fog) and a soft, faint wind. Effects: mild Hunger while you stand under the open sky (never in water), nothing else — it is meant to be a light event. The land dries out: tall/short grass becomes dry grass (or dead bushes), some grass blocks turn into coarse dirt, and farmland loses its moisture. Everything is recoverable. Ramps up in the first ~20 s and fades out at the end. Rain events now open holes Slime Rain: every slime that lands splashes (green burst + sound), shoves nearby players and slows them, and digs a small bowl-shaped crater lined with mossy slime residue. Creeper & TNT Rain: TNT now really falls from the sky, lands and blows a crater with a scorched, rough rim. Creepers float down, prime on touch-down (hiss) and detonate where they land. Safety: craters only dig natural ground (dirt, grass, sand, stone, etc.). Player-made blocks are never touched, and craters respect the mobGriefing game rule. Caps per event keep the server from lagging. Sandstorm: new particles and atmosphere All sand particles were reworked with new textures (soft clouds, wisps, grains) and richer ochre colors. New particles: ground-hugging sand sheets, flying grains, big gust bursts, distant dust walls rolling in upwind, and an ochre ceiling that darkens the sky. Dust devils are taller and denser. Custom fog: light near the edge, thick in the core, applied and removed per player. The storm ramps up, peaks and fades out, with random gusts (shake + push + howl). Layered sound: howl (louder near the center), a low wind rumble and hissing grains.
