Description
Move villagers and animals without boats, minecarts, or long journeys with leads.
Mob Catcher Lite adds one simple reusable item that safely stores a supported creature and releases it wherever you need it. Captured mobs keep their important state, including names, variants, health, villager professions and trades, tame ownership, equipment, and carried inventory.
Features
- One reusable catcher — capture one creature, move it in your inventory, release it, and use the catcher again.
- Villager-friendly transport — move villagers while keeping their professions, trade progress, and offers.
- Preserves mob state — keeps names, health, age, colors, variants, tame ownership, equipment, and animal inventories.
- Safe release checks — prevents release inside solid blocks, liquids, dangerous surfaces, or occupied space.
- Clear item tooltip — the filled catcher shows which creature is stored inside.
- Multiplayer protection — only a pet's owner can capture it, and simultaneous capture attempts are blocked.
- Lightweight design — no menus, commands, settings screens, or external add-on dependencies.
- English and Russian localization — localized pack names, item names, tooltips, and feedback messages.
How to use
- Craft an empty Mob Catcher at a crafting table.
- Hold it and press Use on a supported villager or animal.
- Carry the Filled Mob Catcher to the destination.
- Press Use on a block with enough free space beside it to release the creature.
- The catcher becomes empty and can be used again.
Crafting
Use four sticks and five strings:
Stick | String | Stick

Notes
- Supports villagers, cows, mooshrooms, sheep, pigs, chickens, rabbits, goats, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, camels, cats, wolves, parrots, foxes, pandas, turtles, armadillos, and sniffers.
- Remove leads and dismount riders before capture.
- Move overlapping creatures apart before trying to capture one.
- A tamed pet can only be captured by its owner.
- Keep filled catchers safe. Destroying or permanently losing one also loses access to the creature stored inside.
- Villagers find new beds and job-site blocks naturally after release; those blocks are not moved with them.
- No experimental toggles are required.
Requirements
- Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.0 or newer
- Mob Catcher Lite Behavior Pack and Resource Pack must both be active
- No external add-on dependencies required
