Where Do the Chickens Spawn?
All 21 types spawn naturally on grass blocks at the surface of the Overworld, with a light level of 7–15. Most spawn in groups of 2–3; Giant Chickens spawn alone.
Coal, Dirt, Iron and Snow have higher spawn weights. Diamond, Emerald, Enchanted, Ender and Giant have the lowest weights. These are relative weights, not guaranteed spawn percentages. Finding chickens also depends on suitable conditions and normal mob population limits.
Blazing, Magma and Ender Chickens also spawn in the Overworld. You do not need to visit the Nether or the End to find them.

21 Chickens, 21 Resource Types
Adult chickens produce their resources automatically while their area is loaded and active. Production intervals vary by type. Babies do not produce resources.
- Mineral resources: Coal, Iron Nuggets, Gold Nuggets, Copper Ingots, Diamonds, Emeralds, Redstone Dust and Lapis Lazuli.
- Other materials: Dirt, Clay Balls, Snowballs, Slimeballs, Magma Cream, Glowstone Dust, Blaze Powder and Gunpowder.
- Special products: Ender Pearls, Bottles o’ Enchanting, Raw Beef, Cookies and Eggs.
Giant Chickens produce 3 eggs per cycle. The other types produce one unit of their respective resource per cycle.

Build and Breed Your Flock
Hold seeds to lead chickens to your farm. To breed them, feed two adults of the same type the resource they produce. For example, Diamond Chickens use diamonds, Iron Chickens use iron nuggets, Gold Chickens use gold nuggets and Copper Chickens use copper ingots.
Babies grow naturally in about 10 minutes while active. Feeding them seeds speeds up their growth. New babies start without crystal upgrades.

Crystal Upgrades
Interact with an eligible adult while holding its matching block. One block is consumed in Survival, crystals appear on the chicken’s back and its production interval becomes 40% shorter.
For example, a Diamond Chicken normally produces a diamond every 300–480 seconds. With crystals, that interval becomes 180–288 seconds.
Eligible types: Coal, Iron, Gold, Copper, Diamond, Emerald, Redstone, Lapis, Dirt, Clay, Snow, Slime, Magma and Glowing.
Use the corresponding resource block: for example, a Diamond Block for Diamond, a Copper Block for Copper, Clay for Clay, a Snow Block for Snow or Glowstone for Glowing. Each chicken can receive one upgrade; babies cannot be upgraded.

The Copper Chicken
This chicken produces copper ingots and features a copper-golem-style antenna. Its appearance changes through four oxidation stages: Fresh, Exposed, Weathered and Oxidized.
- Honeycomb: wax the chicken to stop oxidation.
- Axe on a waxed chicken: remove the wax first.
- Axe on an unwaxed chicken: scrape off one oxidation stage.
- Copper Block: apply its crystal upgrade.
- Copper Ingots: breed two adult Copper Chickens.

Automate Your Farm
Collector Nest
A Collector Nest automatically collects chicken resources within 4 blocks and stores them in its inventory. It also picks up supported resource items from the ground, including matching items dropped by players. Interact with the nest to withdraw stored resources.
Crafting ingredients: 4 Wheat + 1 Hopper + 3 Oak Planks.
Transport Pipes
Connect one nest to one chest or barrel using a single continuous line of up to 32 pipes. Bends and vertical sections are supported; branches and loops are not. Resources appear moving along the route.
Crafting ingredients: 4 Iron Ingots + 4 Glass = 8 Transport Pipes.
Keep the farm and its transport route loaded. If the destination is full or the route is interrupted, undelivered resources remain stored in the nest.
