What's new

MBR Redesign v1.5.73

What changed since v1.5.41

Older Minecraft support

  • The minimum Minecraft version was lowered from 1.26.0 to Minecraft 1.21.133.
  • The scripting version was lowered from 2.5 to 2.4, and newer files were changed to an older format.
  • Fixed code that older Minecraft versions could not read.
  • Mobs and blocks that do not exist in your game version are hidden from the menu. Your saved morphs are not deleted.

Creeper escape

  • Added a safe way to escape the Creeper morph: use either Bracelet normally to open the menu and change back.
  • Do not crouch to open the menu. Crouching starts the explosion.

Health and HUD fixes

  • Hearts and armour bars now come back after leaving Wither, Warden, or Ender Dragon.
  • Players with an old stuck or hidden HUD are repaired when they join.
  • Changing morph keeps the same health percentage instead of giving or taking away free health.
  • Health switching no longer removes absorption hearts or brings a dead player back to life.

Morph switching and reset fixes

  • Mob conversions now remember the correct form, age, and biome.
  • Fast morph switching no longer lets old items, effects, sounds, or animations run on the new morph.
  • Effects, custom names, flight, and movement locks from other commands or add ons are left alone.
  • Shulker movement is only restored when this add on was the thing that disabled it.
  • Creeper fuse data and other temporary mob states are cleared when you change form, die, leave, or use Hard Reset.
  • Hard Reset now tries every cleanup step even if one part fails.

Block morph fixes

  • Fixed changing morph while settled making the new morph invisible.
  • Fixed players being released inside a block. If cleanup fails, you are moved above it.
  • Fixed broken settle data and some missed Jump + Crouch inputs getting players stuck.
  • Picking your current settled block again can release you.
  • Settled invisibility now wears off by itself if something breaks.
  • Releasing now cleans up your visibility, controls, movement, effects, and saved settle data.
  • Removed the unwanted Resistance effect. Campfires still protect you from fire.
  • Stopped the hidden settle helper making death like sounds and particles.

Lantern camera fix

  • Settled Lanterns no longer place a real Lantern around the invisible player.
  • This stops the Lantern pushing the player and making the camera jump.
  • Lantern, Soul Lantern, and all four Copper Lanterns now use the safer visual only setup.
  • They still give off light, even when Dynamic Following Lights is off.
  • Torches, Bells, Campfires, and normal full blocks keep their old settle system.

Skeleton and Pillager weapons

  • Skeletons, Strays, and Bogged now get a usable bow and the correct arrows.
  • Pillagers now get a usable crossbow and arrows.
  • Mod given arrows can be moved between the inventory and hotbar.
  • Missing or duplicate mod given weapons and arrows are fixed when there is space.
  • Mod given gear is removed when you change to an unrelated morph. Your own gear is never removed.
  • A full inventory is never overwritten.

Mob armour

  • Mob morphs only show armour that the real mob can naturally wear.
  • Zombie, Skeleton, Husk, Stray, and Bogged can show leather, Copper, gold, chainmail, iron, and diamond armour.
  • Piglins can show gold armour. Other unsupported armour is hidden but stays in your inventory.
  • Added Copper helmets, chestplates, leggings, and boots.
  • Skeleton bow animations no longer mix with the normal item use animation.
  • Mob armour is still badly positioned and animated on some morphs. This is not fixed yet.

Sulfur Cubes

  • All thirteen Sulfur Cubes now use the official menu picture.
  • Their names, inner blocks, and supported special abilities are still different.
  • Fixed them carrying on bouncing after you stopped moving.
  • You no longer need to crouch to stop the bouncing.
  • Removed broken movement settings that could stop every morph from loading.

Sounds

  • Checked and corrected sounds for the full mob list.
  • Different ages, sizes, states, and water versions now use the right sounds.
  • Use either Bracelet normally to hear your current mob's sound.
  • All 478 block morphs now use their normal breaking or mining sound.
  • Creeper menus, crouch menus, Shulker exit, and Bell ringing still work.

First person and model fixes

  • Mob hands and held weapons can be seen again in first person.
  • Block morphs hide the invisible player's hands, items, and walking movement so they do not shake the camera.
  • Put the Ender Dragon back onto Mojang's official model and fixed its separated neck.
  • Inventory previews can show your morph.
  • The pause menu player and map icon still show your normal player.
