🐾 Keep Pets Safe

Do you hate losing your pets in Minecraft?

Keep Pets Safe makes tamed pets completely safe from damage. Once an entity is tamed, the addon cancels incoming damage so your pets can stay with you without being killed by accidents, mobs or the environment.

This is a small addon, but it is very useful for survival worlds, Realms, families, adventure maps or players who simply do not want to lose their pets.

This version focuses on making the protection stronger and more reliable.

Tamed pets are protected from many damage sources, including:

• Melee attacks
• Projectiles
• Explosions
• Fire
• Lava
• Fall damage
• Drowning
• Freezing
• Environmental damage

If the entity is detected as tamed, the damage is cancelled before it is applied.

🐶 How it works

The addon checks when an entity is about to take damage.

If that entity is a tamed pet, the damage is cancelled.

This means your pet should not lose health from normal damage sources after being tamed.

Examples of protected pets include tamed animals such as:

• Wolves
• Cats
• Parrots
• Horses and other tameable mounts
• Other entities that use Minecraft's tameable/tamed components

🧪 Suggested Test

To make sure the addon is working:

1. Tame a wolf or cat.
2. Try melee damage.
3. Try projectiles.
4. Try fire, lava, fall damage or explosions.
5. The pet should stay alive and its health should not decrease.

📦 Installation

This addon only needs the Behavior Pack.

Install and activate:

There is no Resource Pack required for this addon.
