Description
InnerVoice: Player Monologue
Your character isn't silent anymore.
Ever wonder what's going through your character's head while you mine, explore, and barely survive another night? InnerVoice gives your Minecraft character a voice — a constant, dramatic, sometimes paranoid inner monologue that reacts to everything happening around you. Inspired by Casualties: Unknown.
Get hurt, and they panic. Find a diamond, and they lose it. Wander into the Nether, and they start questioning their life choices. It's a small addition that makes solo survival feel a lot less lonely — and a lot more alive.
🗣️ What it does
Emotional reactions to nearly everything:
Getting hurt (fall damage, fire, lava, drowning, explosions, arrows, and more — each with its own reaction)
Low health, critical health, and a genuine moment of despair right before death
Dying — including a rare (~15%) creepy glitch-text easter egg for your character's last words
Respawning, and dying repeatedly in a short time ("Twice?! SERIOUSLY?!")
A character that actually explores with you:
Reacts to 26 different biomes, from deserts to the Deep Dark
Gets excited (or terrified) finding structures: villages, strongholds, ancient cities, trial chambers, mineshafts, temples, ocean monuments, nether fortresses, bastions, end cities, and more
Reacts to entering the Nether and The End, and the relief of making it back to the Overworld
Comments while building and lighting portals
Mobs feel like a real threat (or a real cutie):
Unique reactions to creepers, zombies, skeletons, endermen, witches, the warden, ghasts, blazes, piglins, guardians, ravagers, and many more
Villagers, wandering traders, and zombie villagers all get their own distinct reactions
Pillagers, vindicators, and evokers react individually — and spotting a group of them triggers a separate "raid incoming" warning
Adorable mobs (foxes, cats, axolotls, etc.) get a dedicated "aww" reaction
Even unrecognized hostile mobs from other add-ons get a wary generic reaction, so InnerVoice stays compatible with your other mob mods
Full survival immersion:
Reacts to weather — rain, snow, fog, and thunder all get different lines
A whole cave system: entering/exiting caves, ambient mutterings, genuine fear of the dark if you forgot torches, and excitement (or dread) spotting ore
Reacts to eating — relief if you were starving, mild satisfaction if you weren't
Tools and weapons breaking get their own annoyed (or panicked) reaction
A paranoid mood that kicks in at night or when you've been alone too long
Occasional unprompted survival tips based on your actual situation (no torches? no armor? no food?)
Idle chatter — your character talks to itself even when nothing is happening, just to keep things feeling alive
Plays nice with Creative mode: all the fear, pain, and survival-tip dialogue automatically goes quiet in Creative — your character stays calm and normal, since there's nothing to actually survive.
Basic multiplayer awareness: your character notices when another player is nearby. Want full multiplayer interaction — greetings, PvP reactions, chat eavesdropping, teamwork, even branching conversations? Check out the InCoopDialog add-on (requires this pack).
⚙️ Settings
No commands required — just hit the ⚙️ Settings button next to the pack in your world's behavior pack list:
Enable/disable dialogue entirely
Choose how dialogue appears: above the hotbar, in chat, or both
Toggle the speech bubble that appears above your character's head (visible to other nearby players too)
Toggle voice line sounds on/off
Pick your language
Prefer commands? /scriptevent dlg:help lists everything, including per-player overrides that take priority over the world's default settings.
🌍 Languages
English, Bahasa Indonesia, Español, Português (Brasil), and Русский. Lines not yet translated into a given language automatically fall back to English, so nothing ever shows up blank or broken.
🔊 Voice
Every line has an accompanying voice sound — a mix of custom audio and reactive vocal cues per mood, so your character doesn't just talk in text, it actually sounds like it's reacting.
⚠️ Before you install
Like virtually every script-based Bedrock add-on, activating this pack will disable Achievements for that world — this is a platform-wide requirement for any third-party behavior pack with scripts, not something specific to this mod.
📥 Requirements
Minecraft Bedrock, a recent version (uses Script API @minecraft/server)
No experimental toggles required
