Infernal Mobs — Bedrock Edition
![]()
An authorized and independent Bedrock Edition port of AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs, reimplemented from scratch in JavaScript using the stable Minecraft Bedrock Script API.
Original project and authorization
Infernal Mobs — Bedrock Edition is an independent, unofficial and authorized Bedrock port of AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs .
The original Infernal Mobs mod and its design were created by AtomicStryker .
AtomicStryker explicitly granted CesarDev permission to create and publish this independent Minecraft Bedrock Edition reimplementation as described in the original permission request.

How this port differs from the original
This project is not the original Java, Forge or NeoForge mod. It is an independent reimplementation written from scratch in JavaScript, JSON and other Minecraft Bedrock formats using the stable Bedrock Script API.
The original Java source code was studied only as a behavioral reference for recreating the gameplay mechanics within Bedrock's technical limitations.
No original Java source code, compiled binaries, textures, models, particles or other assets from the Java mod are included or redistributed in this project.
All Bedrock code, configuration files, particles, interface systems, commands and other add-on resources were independently created for this project.
The original gameplay concept and its 28 modifiers were recreated for Bedrock. Systems such as entity persistence, the HUD, custom commands, particles, combat targeting, configuration, multiplayer behavior and compatibility with other add-ons were independently implemented around Bedrock's APIs and technical limitations.
License compliance
The original Infernal Mobs project is distributed under AtomicStryker's custom license. This project acknowledges and respects AtomicStryker's ownership of the original Java mod.
Because this Bedrock port does not contain or redistribute code, binaries, textures, models or other assets from the original Java project, the Bedrock implementation is distributed separately under its own custom license.
AtomicStryker's authorization covers the creation and publication of the independent Bedrock Edition port described in the permission request. It does not transfer ownership of AtomicStryker's original work or grant third parties permission to redistribute it.
Proof of permission
AtomicStryker explicitly granted permission to create and publish this independent Minecraft Bedrock Edition port.

@minecraft/server2.10.0 Script API. - No experimental Script API dependency is intended.
Achievements: under current Bedrock add-on behavior, using this add-on does not preserve achievements. Make a backup before enabling it on an important world.
Installation
- Download the latest
.mcaddonfrom the Files section. - Open the downloaded file with Minecraft.
- Wait for both packs to finish importing.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Activate Infernal Mobs BP under Behavior Packs.
- Confirm that Infernal Mobs RP is also active under Resource Packs.
- Enter the world and run
/infernalmobs:infoto confirm that the add-on loaded.
Administrator commands require operator permission. Commands that modify the world or add-on configuration may also require cheats.
How infernal mobs spawn
Every eligible hostile mob has a chance to become infernal when it spawns.
With the default configuration:
- The mob has a 1 in 15 chance to pass the initial Elite roll.
- A successful Elite has a 1 in 7 chance to upgrade to Ultra.
- A successful Ultra has a 1 in 7 chance to upgrade to Infernal.
| Generated tier | Number of modifiers |
|---|---|
| Elite | 2–4 |
| Ultra | 5–8 |
| Infernal | 8–12 |
The visible HUD tier is based on the mob's final number of modifiers:
| HUD tier | Final modifier count |
|---|---|
| Rare | 1–5 |
| Ultra | 6–10 |
| Infernal | 11+ |
Players and tamed creatures are never converted. The Warden, Wither and Ender Dragon are excluded by default. Server owners can configure additional entity or dimension restrictions.
Health and difficulty
By default, an infernal mob's maximum health is calculated using:
base maximum health × number of modifiers × health multiplier
Mobs with more abilities are therefore harder to kill. Health scaling can be adjusted or disabled completely in the configuration.
HUD and generated names
Looking at or fighting an infernal mob displays a compact HUD containing:
- its generated name;
- every active modifier;
- a segmented health bar;
- current and maximum health;
- colors based on its tier.
Generated names are stored permanently, so the same mob will not randomly change names after unloading or reloading.
Players can toggle their personal HUD with:
/infernalmobs:hud on
/infernalmobs:hud off
All modifiers
| Modifier | Ability |
|---|---|
| 1UP | Revives the mob once when it would otherwise die. |
| Alchemist | Throws physical splash potions with an area effect and distance-based falloff. |
| Berserk | Increases damage while applying a defensive tradeoff. |
| Blastoff | Launches the victim into the air. |
| Bulwark | Reduces incoming damage. |
| Choke | Drains the victim's air supply. |
| Cloaking | Makes the mob invisible during combat. |
| Darkness | Applies Darkness to the victim. |
| Ender | Teleports the mob during combat. |
| Exhaust | Applies Mining Fatigue to the victim. |
| Fiery | Sets attackers on fire. |
| Ghastly | Fires explosive projectiles at the target. |
| Gravity | Pulls the target toward the mob. |
| LifeSteal | Heals the mob for part of the damage it deals. |
| Ninja | Teleports when damaged and leaves a visual burst. |
| Poisonous | Applies Poison to the victim. |
| Quicksand | Applies Slowness to the victim. |
| Regen | Periodically regenerates health. |
| Rust | Damages the attacker's held equipment. |
| Sapper | Applies Hunger to the victim. |
| Sprint | Increases movement speed. |
| Sticky | Can disarm the victim and drop the held item. |
| Storm | Calls real lightning against the target. |
| Unyielding | Resists incoming knockback while preserving normal movement. |
| Vengeance | Reflects part of the received damage back to the attacker. |
| Weakness | Applies Weakness to the victim. |
| Webber | Places temporary cobwebs around the victim. |
| Wither | Applies the Wither effect to the victim. |
Modifier restrictions
Some abilities cannot appear together because their mechanics conflict:
| Modifier | Incompatible with |
|---|---|
| Blastoff | Webber |
| Gravity | Webber |
| Sticky | Storm |
Some mobs also have species-specific restrictions:
| Mob | Disabled modifiers |
|---|---|
| Creeper | 1UP, Berserk, LifeSteal, Sticky |
| Spider and Cave Spider | Cloaking |
The generator automatically prevents duplicates, invalid combinations, disabled modifiers and species violations.
Loot and experience
Defeating an infernal mob can award:
- 25 bonus experience points by default;
- one bonus item roll per five modifiers, rounded upward;
- tier-appropriate items and equipment;
- dynamically enchanted rewards when applicable.
Rare, Ultra and Infernal mobs use different reward pools. Bonus loot and XP can be enabled or disabled independently, and an optional anti-farm setting is available for servers.

/infernalmobs:modifier alchemist
/infernalmobs:set eliteRarity 20
/infernalmobs:modifierconfig webber off
/infernalmobs:scan 64
The conversion animation used by /infernalmobs:make is cosmetic and cannot damage the mob or start fires. The Storm modifier intentionally summons real lightning and can cause normal lightning damage and fire.
Configuration
The configuration is stored in the world and survives reloads. Server owners can adjust:
- Elite, Ultra and Infernal rarity;
- infernal health scaling;
- maximum modifier damage;
- global modifier cooldowns;
- generated names;
- the HUD and health bar;
- bonus loot and experience;
- anti-farm protection;
- individual modifiers;
- eligible or excluded entities;
- excluded dimensions;
- entities that should always become infernal.
Use /infernalmobs:config to view the current settings, /infernalmobs:set to change supported values and /infernalmobs:modifierconfig to enable or disable individual abilities.
Compatibility with other add-ons
Custom hostile creatures from other Bedrock add-ons can become infernal when they use the standard monster entity family and have a valid health component.
This allows Infernal Mobs to work automatically with many add-ons without a separate compatibility patch. Tamed entities, players, blacklisted mobs and mobs outside the configured whitelist remain excluded.
Because custom entities can implement combat and movement differently, some unusual creatures may still require individual testing.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes. Infernal state is shared by the world, while HUD preferences are stored per player.
Do infernal mobs keep their abilities after unloading?
Yes. Their modifiers, generated names, health, cooldowns and special states are persistent.
Can I disable a modifier I do not like?
Yes. Operators can use /infernalmobs:modifierconfig <modifier> off and enable it again at any time.
Why did lightning damage or ignite something?
The conversion animation is harmless. The Storm modifier deliberately summons real lightning and follows normal Minecraft lightning behavior.
Why are no infernal mobs appearing?
Confirm that both packs are enabled, run /infernalmobs:info and remember that the default initial chance is only 1 in 15 for eligible mobs. Operators can test the system directly with /infernalmobs:make random while looking at a monster.
Can monsters from another add-on become infernal?
Yes, provided that the custom entity uses the monster family, has health, is not tamed and is not excluded by the configuration.
