Description

# Improved Waypoints

Improved Waypoints is a powerful and easy-to-use Minecraft Bedrock addon that gives players a better way to save, manage, share, and travel to important locations.

Players can create custom waypoints anywhere in their world. Each waypoint can be named, updated, deleted, or selected as a teleport destination through the in-game menu.

Waypoints can remain private for personal use or be shared publicly with everyone in the world. Public waypoints are ideal for:

* Towns
* Bases
* Shops
* Farms
* Event areas
* Community buildings
* Adventure locations
* Important landmarks

> **Achievement Compatibility Notice**
>
> Following a recent Minecraft Bedrock update, activating custom behavior packs may cause Minecraft to display **“Achievements disabled.”**
>
> Improved Waypoints uses stable Script APIs and does not require experimental Beta APIs. However, Minecraft controls achievement eligibility, and there is currently no supported manifest option that can force achievements to remain enabled.
>
> Until Mojang changes this behavior, Improved Waypoints should be considered **not achievement-compatible on affected Minecraft versions**.

# Features

* Create private waypoints
* Share public waypoints with everyone
* Teleport to saved waypoints
* Rename existing waypoints
* Update saved waypoint locations
* Delete unwanted waypoints
* Send teleport requests to other players
* Accept or deny teleport requests through the menu
* Upgrade waypoint capacity
* Randomly teleport to a new location
* Teleport directly to entered coordinates
* Return near your last death location
* Remove saved death locations
* Display safe-return coordinates
* Includes a resource pack with custom menu icons
* Automatically provides the waypoint menu item
* Craft a replacement menu item if the original is lost

# Private and Public Waypoints

Private waypoints belong to the player who created them and are available only through that player’s waypoint menu.

Public waypoints are shared with everyone in the world. They can be used to provide quick access to important community locations such as towns, shops, farms, public bases, or event areas.

Players can change the name or location of their waypoints and remove locations they no longer need.

# Waypoint Capacity Upgrades

Players can unlock additional waypoint slots as they progress.

This gives Survival worlds a progression system while keeping each player’s waypoint list organized and manageable.

# Teleport Requests

The built-in teleport-request system lets players request to teleport through the waypoint menu.

Players can:

* Send teleport requests
* View incoming requests
* Accept requests
* Deny requests
* Manage travel without entering commands

This provides a cleaner and more organized way for players to travel to one another.

# Random and Coordinate Teleportation

Improved Waypoints includes additional travel options.

## Random Teleport

Players can use Random Teleport to travel to another location for exploration.

## Coordinate Teleport

Players with access to the option can enter coordinates and teleport directly to that location.

# Death Return System

When a player dies, Improved Waypoints saves the death location and provides a **Teleport Back to Death** option in the main menu.

The addon also records a safe fallback location while the player travels. This helps return the player near the death location without placing them directly into a dangerous or obstructed position.

Death Return features include:

* Saves the player’s death location
* Tracks a separate safe-return location
* Displays the safe-return coordinates
* Provides a Teleport Back to Death button
* Provides an option to remove the saved death location
* Automatically clears applicable death information after a successful return
* Uses an increased return distance of approximately 50 blocks

# Custom Menu Icons

Improved Waypoints includes a resource pack containing custom menu icons.

Icons are used throughout the interface for:

* Main menu actions
* Private waypoints
* Public waypoints
* Waypoint management
* Teleport requests
* Random teleportation
* Coordinate teleportation
* Death Return options
* Additional menu actions

The resource pack improves readability and gives the addon a cleaner, more polished interface.

# Waypoint Menu Item

The waypoint menu item is provided automatically when the player joins the world.

If the item is lost, players can craft a replacement.

Use the item to open the Improved Waypoints menu and manage saved locations, teleport requests, upgrades, and travel options.

# Installation

2. Import the Behavior Pack into Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
3. Import the Resource Pack.
4. Activate both packs on your world.
5. Ensure both packs are the same version.
