Gold Trim Truce

Keep your favorite armor while exploring the Nether. Gold Trim Truce extends the protection of gold armor to gold armor trims, letting you wear diamond, netherite, or other armor without ordinary piglins attacking on sight.

What it does

• One recognized piece is enough. Wear a gold-trimmed helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots to keep ordinary piglins neutral.
• Only gold counts. Trims made with other materials do not provide protection.
• Works with every trim pattern. The material matters, regardless of the pattern.
• Removing the recognized armor ends its protection.

Exceptions

• Piglin Brutes still attack.
• Opening chests, mining gold, or attacking piglins can still make them hostile.
• Already-angry piglins may keep attacking until they calm down.
• Zombified Piglins are unaffected.

How to use

Apply a gold trim at a smithing table while the add-on is active, then return the armor to your inventory. A “Gold trim recognized” message appears when the piece is registered.

Recognized armor keeps its protection when stored in chests, passed to another player, or recovered after death. Armor trimmed before installing the add-on needs a fresh gold-trim application to be recognized. Manual marking commands are no longer included.

Requirements

• Minecraft Bedrock 26.20 or later.
• Both the behavior pack and resource pack active.
• No cheats, Beta APIs, or experimental settings required.

The add-on is designed to avoid achievement-disabling requirements. However, achievement eligibility has not been verified in-game, and Mojang officially limits achievement support to Marketplace add-ons.

Compatibility

This add-on changes piglin behavior and may conflict with other add-ons that modify piglins.
