Glass Expansion

Glass Expansion expands glass in Minecraft! It adds many new glass block variations such as stairs, slabs, doors, trapdoors, fences, walls and more, plus glass tools, armor, shields, horse armor and boats. Everything comes in 18 colours: clear glass, all 16 stained glass colours and tinted glass.

New Glass Blocks

• Doors and Trapdoors that open by hand or with redstone

• Fences, Fence Gates and Walls that connect like vanilla ones

• Glass Bars that connect like iron bars

• Buttons and Pressure Plates that give a real redstone signal

• Glass Bricks, Cracked Glass Bricks, Glass Tiles, Cracked Glass Tiles, Chiseled Glass and Polished Glass

• Glass Chests with an opening lid. Place two of the same colour side by side to make a double chest

Glass Tools & Armor

• Tools: Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel and Hoe, with the same stats as iron tools

• Armor: Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots, with the same protection and durability as iron armor. Armor shows cracks as it wears down

• Glass Shield: sneak to raise it and block attacks from the front

• Glass Horse Armor

• Glass tools and fences are crafted with the new Glass Stick (2 glass panes make 4 sticks)

Glass Behaviour

• Glass blocks break like vanilla glass and drop nothing, unless you use Silk Touch or a Glass Tool
• Tinted glass blocks work like vanilla tinted glass: they block light and always drop themselves when broken
• Colour your blocks: place 8 clear glass blocks around a dye in the crafting table to get 8 coloured ones
• Glass doors, trapdoors and fence gates have their own glass opening and closing sounds

Crafting

• Most blocks use the same recipe shape as their vanilla versions, with glass in place of wood or stone
• Bricks, Tiles, Chiseled and Polished glass can also be made in the Stonecutter
• Cracked Bricks and Cracked Tiles are made by smelting the normal ones in a Furnace
