How It Works
This isn't just a simple light toggle. It intelligently works around non-solid blocks, so it won't replace or break your crops, paths, vines, grass, or snow.
Smart Offhand Management
- Double tap sneak to quickly move a supported light source into your offhand.
- The script is smart enough to swap your current offhand item back into your inventory first, so nothing ever gets deleted or destroyed.
Clean World State
- The script constantly manages light sources and will always delete past light blocks.
- Even if the server crashes or restarts suddenly, you won't find random ghost lights left behind in your world.
Performance First
- To keep your frame rate high, the script only renders the brightest light source.
- If you are holding a torch in your main hand and a soul lantern in your offhand, it calculates which is brighter and displays only that one.
Lighting Features
- Colored Illumination: Supports various light blocks with their specific colored tints for better immersion.
- Ray Tracing Simulation: Light feels more natural when looking into caves or standing in cramped corridors.
- Zero Block Interference: Works around decorative and utility blocks without replacing them.
- Dual-Wielding Logic: Automatically prioritizes the brightest item held to prevent light flickering or performance drops.
- Universal Compatibility: Fully compatible with Fancy and Simple graphics, as well as Ray Tracing worlds.
- Graphics Note: On Simple/Fancy graphics or older Ray Tracing mods, lighting will appear as standard white light since those modes do not natively support colored light blocks.
