Durability HUD - Armor & Tool Durability Viewer
See the exact durability of your armor and tools at a glance. Your helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, offhand and held item are shown on the HUD with their icon and remaining durability, like 1432/1561. The same number is also added to the item tooltip, so you can check it in your inventory and in chests too.
Features
- Durability on the HUD – armor, offhand and the item in your hand, each with its icon and exact durability. Updates as you mine, fight and fly.
- Color coded – the number turns from green to yellow to red as durability drops, and blinks when an item is about to break.
- Durability in tooltips – a line like
Durability: 1432/1561is added to the item's description. It is shown in your game language (English and Japanese included). - Works with other add-ons' items – any armor or tool with durability is shown automatically, no setup needed. Items from other add-ons use a generic icon for their slot.
- 3 HUD layouts – left side, right side, or next to the hotbar.
- Settings screen – number format, blinking, tooltip on/off and more (see below).
- No experimental toggles – uses the stable Script API only.

Good to know
- Removing the add-on: turn off "Show durability in item tooltips" first and wait a moment. The durability line is removed from your items. If you remove the add-on without doing this, the line stays on your items (shown as
dhud.lore). - The tooltip is updated about a second after you stop using an item, to avoid interrupting mining, shooting or blocking.
- The HUD receives its data through titles. If another add-on or a
/titlecommand shows a title at the exact moment your durability changes, that title may disappear early. - Resource packs that completely replace the HUD screen may hide this HUD.
Installation
- Open the
.mcaddonfile – Minecraft imports both packs. - In your world settings, activate Durability HUD under Behavior Packs (the Resource Pack is added automatically).
- No experimental toggles are needed.
Updating: Minecraft keeps the old version next to the new one. The pack name shows its version (for example Durability HUD v1.0.1). In your world settings, remove the old version and activate the new one.
Compatibility
- Tested on: Minecraft Bedrock 26.52 (Windows)
- Minimum version: Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.30
- Works in single player and multiplayer worlds.
- Does not replace any vanilla entity or item.
