Cocoa's Monsters adds 22 new monsters to your world, 2 bosses, and an array of bombs and magic weapons

Monsters
Gremlin



- Simple creature that is usually neutral
- Spawns in all dimensions
- Drops coal (black), potatoes (cyan), beetroot (purple)
- Spawns in 3 sizes with varying stats and drops
- Big Gremlins are hostile
- They have short sight range and follow range
- Spawns in the deepslate layer, Warped Forest, and outer End islands
- Health: 10 (small), 18 (medium), 32 (large)
- Attack: 3-4 (small), 5-6 (medium), 6-7 (large)
Goblin



- Neutral mob that spawns in big groups, but somewhat rare
- Can barter with Emeralds, Diamonds, or Blubber
- Can spawn as a Goblin Trader with a chest on their back
- Become hostile if you break valuable ores near them
- Can carry melee weapons, bows, crossbows, and bombs
- Can spawn with armor
- Hunt Deer and Gremlins
- Hostile to Ogres
- Health: 14 (brown), 16 (blue, purple)
- Attack: 1 + weapon damage
Yeti




- Spawns in cold, frozen, mountain, and taiga biomes at night
- Hostile at night, but neutral during the day
- Can go berserk when attacked. When berserk they run on four limbs.
- Can climb walls
- Launch target on attack
- Scared of fire
- Can be tamed with meat when neutral
- Tamed yetis are friendly and attack monsters
- Health: 100, Attack: 7
Freeze


- Spawns in cold and frozen biomes on ice, packed ice, or blue ice
- Attacks using ice breath
- Ice breath gives +2 slowness for each hit, capped at 8
- Only receive +1 slowness if wearing Leather Chestplate
- Ice breath can freeze player in a block of ice or place powdered snow on their location
- Blocks created by freeze automatically cleanup
- Takes damage when in sunlight or in a warm biome
- Takes damage from water

Attack: 4, (+2 slowness/8s)
Ogre

- Spawns in all overworld biomes at night except desert and snow/cold/frozen biomes
- Hostile at night and neutral during the day
- Can berserk and start running faster for a short time
- Attacks disable shields like Axe
- Has an AOE roar attack
- Hostile towards Goblins and Demons
- Can spawn as a larger and stronger "Cave Ogre" variant deep underground
- Health: 120 (green), 150 (cave ogre)
- Attack: 7-10 (green), 8-12 (cave ogre)
Dire Wolf



- Fast, hostile mob that spawns in forest, taiga, and grove at night
- Attacks players, wolves, villagers, and foxes
- Alternates between running circles around the target and attacking
- Digs into the ground and despawns in the sunlight
- Health: 40, Attack: 6
Lizord

- Fireball shooting giant lizard that spawns deep underground
- Will use a melee attack if player gets close
- Takes extra damage from explosives
- Health: 60
- Attack: 7 (melee), 8 + power 1 explosion (fireball)
Monster Bat

- Hostile bat mob that spawns underground and at night
- Turns into a regular bat if exposed to sunlight
- Gives Hunger for 4s on attack
- Can perch like vanilla bats
- Health: 10
- Attack: 2-3 + Hunger I (4s)
Biter

- Hostile fish mob that spawns at night
- Spawns in 3 sizes with varying stats and drops
- Health: 6 (small), 12 (medium), 18 (large)
- Attack: 1-2 (small), 3-4 (medium), 5-6 (large)
Web Spider

- Large white spider that shoots webs when close
- Spawns below Y=40
- Gives weakness and has knockback resistance
- Health: 36
- Attack: 7 + Weakness I (6s)
Scorpion

- Hostile mob that spawns in deserts and mesa
- Similar behavior to Spiders. but slower
- Has 75% knockback resistance
- Health: 32
- Attack: 5 + Poison/10s
Vampire

- Strong, fast hostile mob that spawns underground
- Regains health on attack
- Takes extra damage from Gold weapons
- Can transform into a bat when attacked and low on health
- Alternates between flying and grounded movement
- More common in dripstone caves
- Health: 36
- Attack: 6-7 + 10s Hunger I
Necromancer

Hostile mob that summons other monsters
Can summon Zombie, Skeleton, Demon Skull, Ghost, and Evoker Fangs
Can teleport like Enderman
Health: 28
Drops: 0-1 Bottle o' Enchanting, 0-1 Enderpearl
Ghost

- Spawns rarely in the deepslate layer
- Spawns in the soulsand valley
- Can phase through walls
- Disappears if it touches light
- Health: 14, Attack: 6
Demon


- Large hostile mob that spawns in the Nether
- Wields a pitchfork for ranged melee attack
- Has an AOE roar attack that also casts fire
- Can summon demon skulls
- Neutral if player wears full gold armor
- Spawns in Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, and Soulsand Valley
- Health: 100, Attack: 7-11
Demon Skull

- Small, flying hostile mob, similar to Monster Bat
- Spawns in Soulsand Valley and can be summoned by Demons
- Health: 6, Attack: 3
Netherzord

- Larger, stronger variant of the Lizord
- Shoots 3 fireballs which arc with gravity and cannot be reflected
- Spawns in Nether Wastes and Basalt Delta
- Health: 100
- Attack: 9 (melee), 8 + power 1 explosion (fireball)
Walker


- Giant, two legged walkers that blast their enemies with their plasma cannon
- Kick enemies that get close
- Emerge out of the ground on spawn
- Most are hostile, but can rarely spawn as a friendly purple variant
- Can be reprogrammed with Ender Eyes to become friendly
- Friendly walkers can be repaired with End Stone and End Bricks
- Friendly walkers follow players holding Ender Eyes
- Drops Ender Plasma, Enderon Gemstone, End Stone, Gunpowder, and Ender Eyes
- Health: 150
- Attack: 11 (kick), 10 + power 1.75 explosion - (plasma cannon)
Cosmic Jelly

- Giant, floating jellyfish that shoots ender plasma balls
- Attacks leave lingering clouds similar to the Ender Dragon
- Attacks can be collected to obtain Dragon's Breath
- Spawns in the outer end islands
- Drops Ender Plasma, and Slime
- Health: 20
- Damage Resistance to Projectiles: 66%
Ender Phantom

- Giant, living variant of the Phantom that spawns in the End
- Can spawn on the central island when the dragon is alive
- Can also spawn in the outer islands
- Can teleport the player on hit
- Drops ender pearls and phantom membranes
- Spawns in multiple sizes with varying stats and drops
- Health: 28 (normal), 38 (big)
- Attack: 8 (normal), 11 (big)
Bosses
Inferno


Fiery boss of the Nether Fortress
Abilities:
1. Spin attack - spins rapidly and charges the player
2. Fireball attack - shoots 3 large fireballs while strafing
3. Push attack - pulls shield together then pushes them out, launching player away
4. Teleport - teleports with a trail of fire
5. Summons Blaze
6. Blue fireball - shoots a single blue fireball that removes Fire Resistance
If you reflect the Blue Fireball into inferno, it will be stunned for a short time
Inferno can be stunned by Ice Charges, Ice Dagger, Ice Bombs, or any of the other Ice weapons
Where to find the Inferno:
Found in the Nether Fortress
Player must be over level 15 for it to spawn
Hold an "Inferno Totem" to increase the spawn chance or an "Inferno Ward" to prevent it from spawning
Inferno is more likely to spawn if you are a higher level

Boss of the Frozen Ocean and Ice Caves
Abilities:
1. Fires Ice Charge
2. Summons Ice Spikes
3. Summons Freeze, Stray, and Ice Ghosts
4. Sinks and re-emerges through ice
5. Push attack
6. Ice breath
Where to find Glacier:
Spawns on top of any kind of ice in cold and frozen biomes
Player must be level 15 for it to spawn
Hold a Glacier totem to increase it's spawn chance, or a Glacier Ward to keep it from spawning
Drops:
Ice Pick, Ice Staff, Ice Dagger, Enchanted Book, Elixir of Experience, Ice Charges, Diamonds, and Blue Ice

- Throwable bombs crafted with 3 leather, 5 gunpowder, and 1 string for 4 bombs
- Same explosive power as a Creeper, but double damage to entities
- Can be wielded by Goblins
Amethyst Staff

- Shoots Amethyst Shards
- Generate a shield barrier when used with sneak
- The shield barrier generates blocks and gives Regeneration
Echo Staff

- Shoot the Warden's sonic blast
- Consumes XP
- Turn into a shadow with many effects and particles when used with sneak
Fire Staff

- Shoot small fireballs using fire charges
- Generate rings of fire and get temporary fire resistance when used with sneak
Venomshank

- Sword that gives Poison II for 10s
- Found in Jungle Temples
- Can be bought from Goblin traders
- Repaired with Iron Ingot
Ice Dagger


- Dagger with the ability to encase enemies in ice (similar to Freeze's attack)
- Gives slowness to enemies
- Earned in Trial Chambers
- Can be bought from Goblin traders
- Repaired with Blue Ice
Illumina

- Sword with the ability to grant levitation for a brief time
- Similar to a double jump
- Can be found in Trial Chambers, End Cities, and End Temples
Phased Ender Pearl

- Upgraded Ender Pearl that teleports the user instantly in a straight line for 18-30 blocks
- Can teleport through walls and into walls
- Does not deal fall damage
- Teleports farther when user is wearing Enderon armor
- When used on a mount, the mount teleports with you
- The pearl is consumed 50% of the time it is used
Ender Plasma
Ender Plasma
- Dropped by Cosmic Jelly and Walker
- Used to craft Plasma Ball, Pulsar, and Phased Ender Pearl
- Can be used as fuel in a furnace

Better Vanilla Monsters
Better Vanilla Monsters changes vanilla monster behavior to be more fun to play against and a little harder.

General Changes:
- Most mobs see 24 blocks away
- Most mobs have been swapped from "minecraft:melee_attack" to "minecraft:melee_box_attack". This makes their attacks use more accurate calculations.
- Mobs are more likely to spawn with Iron armor
Zombie/Husk/Drowned
- Move 20% faster when pursuing a target
- Increased attack damage from 3 -> 5
- Baby Zombie/Husk/Drowned do not receive these buffs
- Baby Zombie/Husk/Drowned/Zombified Piglin have reduced health (20 -> 16)
- Can spawn with Iron Axe or Iron Pickaxe
Skeleton/Stray/Bogged
- Skeletons have strafing behavior, similar to Java edition
- Skeletons shoot from 15 blocks away
- Their arrows are slower and arc more
- Skeletons can sometimes spawn with an Iron Sword or Iron Axe
- Skeletons now attack Villagers
- Wither Skeletons have more health (20 -> 28)
Spider
- Moves 33% faster when chasing a target
- Increased damage 2 -> 4
- Spiders now attack Chickens
Phantom
- Can now spawn in 3 sizes (80% normal, 16% big, 4% colossal)
- Normal Phantoms have reduced health (20 -> 16)
- Big Phantom
- Health: 26
- Damage: 8-9
- Scale: 2x
- XP: 10
- Colossal Phantom
- Health: 50
- Damage: 9-13
- Scale: 3.5x
- XP: 20
- Big Phantom
Ghast
- Has 50% damage resistance against projectiles
- Still dies in 1 hit to a reflected fireball
- Fireballs move faster and do more impact damage
Blaze
- Increased attack range to 48 blocks (matches Java)
Piglin
- Piglins have more health (16 -> 20)
- Piglins shoot from 15 blocks away
- Piglins can sometimes spawn with a Golden Axe or Golden Pickaxe
Pillager
- Pillagers shoot from 15 blocks away
- Pillagers and Vindicators drop Emerald Shards on death (if paired with Cocoa's_Monsters)
Enderman
- Endermen and the Ender Dragon can teleport players on melee attack
- Endermen are angered by destroying End crystals
Creaking
- The Creaking has a 50% chance to apply the Wither effect for 3s on attack
Zombie Horse and Skeleton Horse are now hostile mobs that spawn rarely at night
- They always spawn with a rider
- More common in Plains and Savanna biomes, but still rare
- A Skeleton Horse that spawned in a snow biome will be ridden by a Stray
- Skeleton Horse will alternate between attacking and circling around the target
- They burn in the daylight and despawn
