What's new
## 1.8.6
### Overview
**Z-Moves** and **Terastallization** return, **Raids** arrive—whether solo or in groups of four—and Gyms no longer rely on the luck of the draw regarding their location.
**Z-Moves.** Z-Crystals are scattered across the same excavation sites where fossils are unearthed; you search for them one by one using a brush. With the **Z-Ring** equipped and a crystal of the corresponding type in your party, a dedicated button appears during battle to unleash the Z-Move for that turn. Upon activation, the camera focuses on your Pokémon, the Z-emblem appears in front of it, and only then is the move's name announced.
**Raids.** **Dens** appear throughout the world, marked by a beam of light visible from a distance. Targeting them reveals their difficulty level (1 to 5), and inside awaits a Terastallized Pokémon featuring a shield and significantly higher HP than normal. Only **one Pokémon** per player can enter, so choose wisely. If defeated, the game offers you the chance to **capture** it and distributes the loot.
**Four-Player Raids.** You can invite connected players from the den, just like in duels. All four players **attack first**—the boss retaliates once per round with an attack that hits everyone—while sharing the boss's HP bar, though each player sees their own HP. Upon victory, **everyone** receives rewards and the chance to capture the Pokémon.
**Summoning the Gym Leader.** The eight Gym maps no longer require you to find a specific room: **they bring the Leader** to your current location. Gyms are structures within the game world, and sometimes a specific type's Gym might not be nearby; previously, failing to locate it meant being unable to progress in the League. The League map continues to guide the way,
as there is only one tower.
**Voiced Trainers.** They now have written **dialogue** for four specific moments—
challenge, victory, defeat, and conversation—and any Pokémon on their
team can be marked as **Shiny**. The merchant also **buys** items;
their buyback list displays the icon for each item alongside it.
**All Pokémon, all the time.** Gone is the distribution across device-specific
sub-packages: there is no longer a need to activate regions or wait for the
game to decide how much to load.
