👑 King Frog — the swamp boss

The King Frog rules the swamp. He lashes his tongue, sprays poison water, rains frog eggs, leaps onto you and makes mud geysers erupt under your feet. His Lily Pad guards attack whoever he is fighting. Beat him for frog armor, giant frog legs and maybe his golden crown!

Made as an early-game boss: a player in iron armor can win, but standing still is a bad idea.

🐸 The King Frog

• 450 health and a boss bar
• 8 skills. He picks one that fits the distance to his target, with a short pause between skills
• Frog King's Wrath: below 50% health he roars once, covers the ground with lily pads, calls more guards, and gets Speed and Resistance I. All his skills come back 25% faster and get stronger
• A golden crown floats above his head, flies buzz around him and poison gas rises at his feet

Skills

• Tongue Flurry (up to 7 blocks): 3 fast tongue lashes in a fan (4 when enraged). 2 damage each + Poison
• Poison Water Jet (4–16 blocks): a teal pressurized jet that follows the target. Damage + Poison + push, and a poison puddle at the end
• Tongue Pull (over 10 blocks): his tongue grabs the target and yanks it in. 3 damage + Poison. When enraged, he pulls a second enemy too
• Bubble Barrage (6–18 blocks): 5 poison frog eggs (8 when enraged) that burst into bubbling poison puddles
• Leap Slam (5–10 blocks): a royal seal marks where he will land, then he crashes down with a splash of water, mud and lily pads. When enraged, he leaps twice
• Mud Geyser (up to 18 blocks): bubbling mud and warning seals appear under the enemies, then water geysers throw them into the air. When enraged, a second wave follows
• Poison Croak (up to 5 blocks): his vocal sac inflates and bursts into poison sound rings. Poison + Slowness + knockback
• Fly Swarm (up to 14 blocks): a swarm of flies chases the target. Nausea, Hunger, brief Blindness. When enraged, it chases up to 3 targets

All big hits are telegraphed, so keep moving!

He fights back against anyone

The King Frog remembers who he is fighting: the last one he hit, whoever hurt him (mobs too: wolves, iron golems, zombies...), or the nearest player. A frog face appears above his new target. His skills hit that target even if it is a mob, while other mobs nearby are left alone. His Lily Pads attack the same target.

🌿 Lily Pad guards

While fighting, the King Frog calls 5 Lily Pads every 45 seconds (at most 8 around him). They have their own skills:

• Leaf Blade: throws a spinning lily leaf that homes in on the target. Damage + Slowness
• Lily Hop: jumps onto the target and lands with a splash
• Lotus Heal: a lotus blooms and its petals fly to the wounded King Frog to heal him a little. Kill the Lily Pads first!
• Spore Burst: when killed, a Lily Pad leaves a poison puddle for 3 seconds

When the King Frog dies, all his Lily Pads wilt. Without a King Frog nearby, Lily Pads fight like normal hostile mobs.

🛡️ Items

Frog Armor: Frog Skin + copper armor piece at a crafting table, giving Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings and Boots. Same protection as iron armor.

Frog Leap (full Frog Armor set): sneak for half a second, then jump. You launch far forward and take no fall damage. Mobs within 3 blocks of your landing take damage and get Poison. 5-second cooldown.

Crown: a helmet with 7 armor and 5000 durability. You get Resistance I while wearing it.

Giant Frog Leg: eating it raw gives Nausea and Slowness. Cook it in a furnace for the Cooked Giant Frog Leg: 12 hunger points plus Jump Boost II, Night Vision, Regeneration and Speed II for 5 minutes.
