🍺 BEER — now in Minecraft!

Have you ever wanted, after a hard day of mining, to drink a cold beer… only to discover that you can no longer use a crafting table properly? Now it’s possible!

This addon adds beer to Minecraft, a special barrel for brewing it, and the consequences of drinking it — which will quickly explain why sometimes it’s better to just drink milk.

🍺 How to get beer?

First you’ll need a beer barrel. You can craft it on a crafting table from a regular barrel and wheat.

Then put the following inside the barrel:

Wheat

A bucket of water

Sweet berries or glow berries

Now all that’s left is to wait. Brewing takes 20 minutes of real game time. Yes, good beer isn’t made quickly!

While the barrel is working, you can see a timer next to it showing the remaining brewing time.

💪 Beer effects

After drinking beer, the player receives the following effects for 2 minutes:

Strength IV — even zombies will regret ever spawning.

Speed II — you can run away from the consequences of your decisions faster than usual.

Regeneration II — your body is trying to save the situation.

Absorption III — extra hearts in case you decide to test your strength on a creeper.

Fire Resistance — at least you won’t burn in lava.

Nausea — the screen starts to resemble the state of your body.

In short, you become stronger, faster, and more durable. There’s just one small problem: your brain temporarily goes on vacation.

🛠️ You’re too drunk to craft!

After drinking beer, for 2 minutes interaction with certain workstations is blocked:

Crafting Table

Stonecutter

Smithing Table

Loom

Cartography Table

Crafter

If you try to use them, the message appears:

“You’re drunk and can’t craft!”

Because trusting a drunk person to make netherite armor is a questionable idea.

🤮 Overdid it? Get the consequences!

If you drink 3 mugs of beer within 5 minutes, your body decides it’s had enough.

Vomiting with green particles starts, and for a few seconds the player loses the ability to move, jump, switch items in hand, break blocks, and interact with the surroundings.

After that, Hunger V appears for 5 minutes and Slowness II for 20 seconds.

And yes, during the vomiting you can’t just grab a sword and continue the adventure. You’ll have to think a little about your life choices.

🪵 Barrel features

Inside there are 4 slots: 3 for ingredients and 1 for the finished beer.

Each cycle consumes one unit of each ingredient.

You can store up to 16 mugs of beer in the result slot.

The barrel continues brewing even when no players are nearby.

To break the barrel in Survival mode you need to hit it 3 times. In Creative mode one hit is enough.

When the barrel is destroyed, its contents drop.

⚠️ Important warning

This addon is made exclusively for Minecraft. Do not take its in-game effects as guidance for drinking alcohol in real life.

Drink virtual beer responsibly. Or at least don’t be surprised when your character starts throwing up green sludge.

The addon is fully in Russian for the balance of the universe.
