Bedrock Furnace Minecart v1.0.0

Initial Public Release

Bedrock Furnace Minecart is now complete and ready for its first public release.

This release brings the classic Minecart with Furnace experience to Minecraft Bedrock Edition with native rail behavior, Java-style propulsion, proper fueling, correct item drops, and polished visual behavior.

Added

Minecart with Furnace
Added a fully functional Minecart with Furnace item and entity to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Crafting Recipe
Added a shapeless crafting recipe using 1 Furnace + 1 Minecart to create the Minecart with Furnace.

Coal and Charcoal Fueling
Added support for both Coal and Charcoal as fuel.

Each fuel item provides approximately 3,600 ticks, or 3 minutes, of fuel.

Java-Style Propulsion
Added self-propelled Furnace Minecart movement inspired by Java Edition behavior.

Directional Interaction
Interacting with the Furnace Minecart sets its push direction away from the player.

Powered Visuals
Added smoke particles and lit/unlit furnace visuals while the cart is powered.

Minecart Collision and Pushing
Added native minecart collision and pushing behavior with other minecarts.

Rail & Visual Parity

Native Minecart Runtime
The Furnace Minecart uses Bedrock's native minecraft:minecart runtime for authentic rail movement.

Correct Rail Height
Adjusted the Furnace Minecart so it sits correctly on the rails.

Stable Vertical Movement
Removed the floating and constant vertical bouncing seen during development.

Placement Alignment
The Furnace Minecart now reliably faces along the rail when placed.

Correct Corner Turning
The cart properly rotates while traveling through rail corners.

Slope and Transition Behavior
Added correct movement and orientation across slopes and rail transitions.

Native Damage Wobble
The Furnace Minecart now uses native minecart damage wobble behavior when struck.

Breaking & Drops

Correct Furnace Minecart Drop
Destroying the Furnace Minecart correctly returns the Minecart with Furnace item.

Native Drop Correction
Prevented the native minecart runtime from leaving behind a regular Minecart as the final drop.

Release Cleanup

Development Tools Removed
Removed the development Debug Stick and all testing-only functionality.

Tester Systems Removed
Removed the tester UI, live debug HUD, test-minecart spawning tools, debug recipe, and debug texture.

Script API Cleanup
Removed the unused @minecraft/server-ui dependency.

The release build now retains only the stable @minecraft/server Script API dependency required for gameplay functionality.

Compatibility

Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.40+

Uses the stable Minecraft Script API.

No experimental gameplay toggles required.
