Auto Tool Switcher is a lightweight quality-of-life add-on for Minecraft Bedrock. When you start breaking a supported block, it checks your hotbar and automatically selects the best matching tool available.

Features

• Automatic tool switching — selects an appropriate tool when you start mining a supported block.
• Common block support — recognizes stone and ores, logs and planks, dirt and sand, leaves, wool, vines, cobwebs, and many other vanilla blocks.
• Hotbar-only selection — never rearranges or pulls items from your main inventory.
• Smart tool ranking — considers tool material, Efficiency enchantment level, and remaining durability.
• Last-use protection — avoids automatically selecting a damageable tool with only one use remaining.
• Drop-conscious choices — uses hoes for leaves instead of automatically forcing shears and changing normal leaf drops.
• Multiplayer friendly — evaluates each player's hotbar independently.
• Lightweight — no menus, commands, recipes, custom items, or recurring world scans.

How to use

1. Import the .mcaddon file into Minecraft Bedrock.
2. Activate the Auto Tool Switcher Behavior Pack for your world.
3. Keep your preferred tools in the hotbar.
4. Start breaking a supported block. The best matching hotbar tool is selected automatically.

Notes

• Only tools already placed in the hotbar can be selected.
• If no matching usable tool is available, your selected slot stays unchanged.
• Higher-tier tools are preferred, with Efficiency and remaining durability used to choose between similar options.
• Nearly broken tools with one remaining use are skipped.
• No experimental toggles are required.

Requirements

• Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.30 or newer
• Auto Tool Switcher Behavior Pack must be active
• No Resource Pack or external add-on dependency required
