About
Armored Elytra combines chest armor and Elytra flight in one survival-friendly item for Minecraft Bedrock.
Craft an iron, diamond, or netherite Armored Elytra from the matching chestplate and a normal Elytra. Wear it as chest armor during regular exploration, then press jump again while falling to deploy the wings and use Minecraft's native Elytra flight. After landing, the armored form returns automatically.

How to use
- Craft an Armored Elytra by combining an Elytra with an Iron, Diamond, or Netherite Chestplate in any crafting-grid arrangement.
- Equip the Armored Elytra in the chest slot.
- Jump from a safe height.
- While falling, press jump again to deploy the wings.
- Glide and use Firework Rockets as with a normal Elytra.
- Land to return automatically to the armored form.
Crafting
- Iron Armored Elytra: 1 Elytra + 1 Iron Chestplate
- Diamond Armored Elytra: 1 Elytra + 1 Diamond Chestplate
- Netherite Armored Elytra: 1 Elytra + 1 Netherite Chestplate
All three recipes are shapeless.
Notes
- Minecraft Bedrock does not expose native Elytra gliding for custom item identifiers. The add-on temporarily uses a marked vanilla Elytra only after the player deliberately deploys the wings.
- During active flight, the armor bar temporarily reflects the vanilla Elytra state. The matching armor protection returns immediately after landing.
- Crafting creates a new Armored Elytra; enchantments and existing damage on the two crafting ingredients are not transferred by the crafting recipe.

- Both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack must be active
- No external dependencies
