What's new
Andy's Portable Campsite 1.5.0
Every lantern now crafts the kit
- The recipe accepts all ten vanilla lanterns: Lantern, Soul Lantern, and every copper stage — Copper, Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized — plus the waxed form of each. Previously only Lantern, Soul Lantern, and pristine unwaxed Copper Lantern worked, and the description told you to scrape wax and oxidation off with an axe first. That caveat is gone.
- The camp is pitched with the exact lantern you paid. Craft with a Waxed Weathered Copper Lantern and the tent is lit by waxed weathered copper lanterns.
Weathering is remembered across pack-up
- A copper camp's three lanterns weather independently while it stands. Pack-up now records the stage each one reached and the kit redeploys them exactly that way, so a camp that has aged into the landscape keeps its patina instead of resetting to fresh copper every time you move.
- Waxed lanterns do not weather, which is the point of waxing them. Plain and Soul lanterns are unaffected and store nothing.
- The kit's lore names the current stage, or reads "(mixed weathering)" when the three lanterns have drifted apart.
Fixed: copper camps that could never be packed up
- Fixed camps built with a Copper Lantern becoming permanently impossible to pack up. Unwaxed copper weathers on its own, so a camp lantern could quietly turn exposed, weathered, or oxidized hours after the camp was pitched. Pack-up compared it against the exact block it had placed, saw a different block, and refused forever with a message about restoring obstructed blocks. Camp lanterns also cannot be broken, so there was no obvious way out.
- Every copper oxidation stage, waxed or not, is now accepted as the camp's own lantern. Camps that are already stuck this way pack up normally after updating.
- The pack-up refusal message now names the exact coordinates of the offending cell, what the camp expected there, and what was found instead, so a genuinely blocked camp can be diagnosed and cleared.
Notes
- Nothing needs to be rebuilt or reconfigured. Existing kits, deployed camps, chest archives, ownership, tent colors, and hearth choices are unchanged, and a kit crafted before this update simply has no weathering to remember yet.
- Camps using a plain Lantern or Soul Lantern were never affected by the pack-up bug.
