What's new

Andy's Disenchanting Pillar v1.6.16

Added

  • Server operators can now configure every cost from chat or the server console, which matters most on hosted servers where Minecraft's gear/settings pages are not available:
scriptevent adp:list
scriptevent adp:set amethyst_cost 4
scriptevent adp:status
scriptevent adp:reset
scriptevent adp:help
  • Setting names accept the obvious variations, and values outside a setting's allowed range are refused with an explanation instead of being quietly changed to something else. Only operators and the server console can use these.
  • Added a Server Admins page to the in-game CWES field guide.
  • The Item slot and the Output slot now return their contents to your inventory as soon as you close the pillar's screen, the same way an anvil or enchanting table won't eat an item you back out of without confirming. Books and Amethyst Shards staying in the pillar between uses is intentional and unchanged.

Fixed

  • Fixed the Item slot silently accepting Amethyst Shards, ordinary books, or any other non-enchanted item with no validation. This is what caused the duplication some players saw with shards, books, and even tools depending on which slot they ended up in — those items are now routed to their correct slot (Amethyst Shards or Books) or returned to you.

Technical and Compatibility

  • Confirmed this add-on still meets Minecraft's requirements for Achievements to stay enabled: both packs declare themselves as an add-on with a current manifest format, no experimental toggles or Beta APIs are required, and normal Survival play never requires cheats or operator permission.
  • Hosted servers must have the resource pack delivered to players (texturepack-required=true), because the workstation interface is supplied by the resource pack.
  • Existing worlds update automatically; no player action is needed.
