Mario Party: Better Jumps & Physics Fix
Ever feel like Mario is jumping through molasses? This is the first movement overhaul for Mario Party on CurseForge, and it finally makes the characters feel like they actually belong in a platforming game.
No more "heavy" Bowser or missing a jump because the game decided to ignore your button press.
The Good Stuff
- Actually Jumping: Everyone gets a massive boost to their jump height. You’re not just hopping over pebbles anymore; you’ve got some real air.
- No More Ghosted Inputs: I fixed that annoying bug where your character would just... not jump if you were too close to an edge or mid-animation.
- Better Feel: Added some "coyote time" (that tiny grace period where you can still jump after walking off a ledge). It makes those platforming minigames way less frustrating.
- Unified Gravity: Bowser, DK, and Wario aren't anchors anymore. Everyone has the same jump arc so you don't have to relearn the physics just because you picked a big guy.
How to Install
- Back up your stuff. Seriously.
- Drop the files into your mod folder.
- Load it up and go break some records.
> Heads up: This works best on the board and in most 3D minigames. Some 2D ones might still act a little funky since they use weird, hard-coded scripts, but it’s a huge improvement over the base game.
