Beta 0.2 – expect bugs! An active police career for Bliss Bay with its own Protect & Serve panel: dispatch calls, robberies, arrests, backup and five ranks – for honest and crooked cops alike. 🚓
Five ranks, from Community Officer to Chief of Police, and every promotion unlocks new actions and calls. On top of that: the Protect & Serve ambition, two Desired Lives (Life of Justice and Life Above the Law), the Justice-Driven trait, four aptitudes, 24 police wants, day and night shifts and moodlets for life on the job.
Life on patrol:
📻 Dispatch calls – noise complaints, thefts, fights, store robberies, night patrol requests and – for the Chief – bank robberies. Respond, handle the scene and make the arrest with Freeze! Hands Up!
🚶 On the job – go on patrol through the districts, file reports, take statements, issue citations and check IDs – every shift has something to do
⭐ Wanted level – Zois who break the law get one to three wanted stars above their head, so you can spot them on the street and bring them in
🤝 Backup – call fellow officers to the scene and give them their orders
💰 Crooked Badge – take bribes, shake people down, make evidence disappear and sell what you confiscated

Protect & Serve is big, and not every call, rank and moodlet has been tested in every situation yet. Nothing should break your save, but some things may not work as they should. Found a bug? Tell me on Discord or in the comments – what you did and what happened – and it gets fixed in the next update. Updates come often.
🚓 HOW TO JOIN THE FORCE
Just like any other active career: open your phone, go to Careers, pick the Blissbay Police Department and apply as a Police Officer. That's it – your first shift starts as a Community Officer, and the Protect & Serve panel opens as soon as you're on duty.
Protect & Serve works fully on its own and plays well with all other ZoiWorks mods, but it really shines together with ZoiWorks - Organized Crime. As a Detective, you can Ask About Gang Ties and turn a gang member into your informant. As Chief of Police, you can Pressure the Boss of a criminal organization.
The gangs will try to buy you, too: now and then a stranger slips you a thick envelope. Take it and a little money comes your way every day – or push it back and keep your hands clean. And on the other side of the law, crime bosses can threaten officers or put them on their payroll.
