🌍 German Language Patch for Hytale
German Language Support is a community project by thedragon95 that finally allows you to play Hytale fully in German.
Since Hytale currently does not yet offer official language support, this mod translates the entire experience — from menus to system messages.

🚫 Without CurseForge Launcher
1️⃣ Download & extract the ZIP file
After downloading, extract the ZIP file. You will get an “install” folder.
🅰️ Option A – Copy directly into the language folder
🪟 Windows
Open this path:
%AppData%\Hytale\install\release\package\game\latest\Client\Data\Shared\Language
How to get there:
• Press Windows Key + E → paste the path into the address bar → press Enter
or
• Press Windows Key + R → paste the path → press Enter
➡️ Copy the extracted language files into this folder.
🍏 macOS (Apple)
Open Finder and:
- Click Go in the top menu bar
- Press Shift + Cmd + G
- Paste this path:
~/Library/Application Support/Hytale/install/release/package/game/latest/Client/Data/Shared/Language
➡️ Copy the language files from the extracted ZIP into this folder.
If any folders are missing, you can create them manually.
🅱️ Option B – Copy the install folder (easiest method)
🪟 Windows
Copy the extracted “install” folder into:
%AppData%\Hytale
👉 Confirm file replacement if Windows asks.
🍏 macOS (Apple)
- Open Finder
- Press Shift + Cmd + G
- Paste this path:
~/Library/Application Support/Hytale
- Copy the extracted “install” folder here
- macOS will ask if you want to replace files → click Replace

▶️ Start the game
- Launch Hytale
- Open Settings
- Select German as your language (if not already set)

1️⃣ Open the Hytale game directory via the launcher
2️⃣ Navigate to:
UserData/Mods
3️⃣ Extract the ZIP file
4️⃣ Copy the install folder into the main game directory
5️⃣ Confirm overwriting files if prompted
6️⃣ Start Hytale and select your language if required
