What's new

1.0.0 (2026-10-27), Hytale 0.7.4
First release.
- Backs up each world before a new game version or a changed mod list first opens it, on a schedule (skipped when nothing changed), at every clean shutdown, and when you press Back up now.
- Named milestones that are never deleted automatically.
- Restore from the window or /worldbackup restore, applied at the next start. The world is backed up and checked first, so a restore can be undone; a restore that fails puts the world back.
- Small backups: unchanged data is stored once, in 64 KB blocks.
- One backup folder and one space limit for every world on the computer. Older snapshots thin out to one a day, then one a week.
- /worldbackup budget says whether your settings fit the space.
- Deleted worlds stay in the backup folder, and Export brings them back as a plain folder.
- Settings in Mod Settings Manager (optional), applied without a restart; on servers with several worlds, a section per world.
- The jar is also a command-line tool for restoring with the server stopped.
