Voltstride

Leg armor with a rune socket. Slot a Lightning Rune into the Lightning Greaves and every sprint leaves a trail of electric sparks behind you. Sparks, not fire. It is a rune-based particle effect that runs on the server, with no shaders and no client mod.

What it does

• Spark trail while sprinting, and it keeps going through jumps
• Three spark colors: blue (Lightning Rune), gold (Gold Lightning Rune) and white (White Lightning Rune)
• Shock on contact: enemies you run into take lightning damage and get briefly stunned
• Discharge on landing: falling 3 blocks or more releases an electric shockwave around you
• Double jump while the rune is socketed
• Small speed bonus while sprinting

How to socket a rune

1. Equip the Lightning Greaves (legs slot).
2. Use the Runebinder's Effigy (the Ability Workbench statue).
3. Put the greaves in the big slot and a Lightning Rune in the small slot.
4. Swap runes to change the spark color. Remove the rune to turn the effect off.

How to get the items

Version 0.1.0 has no crafting recipe yet. Use the give command with these item ids:

• BotasRelampago (Lightning Greaves)
• BotasRunaRelampago (Lightning Rune, blue)
• BotasRunaRelampagoDourada (Gold Lightning Rune)
• BotasRunaRelampagoBranca (White Lightning Rune)

Install

Drop the .jar into your Hytale Mods folder and reopen the world. The asset pack is bundled inside the jar. Works in singleplayer and on servers.
