Impact Echo is a new Ability Runestone for Hytale that turns the arena itself into your weapon.

Charge a heavy blow and send your target flying. If it crashes into a wall, the wall echoes: a shockwave bursts out of the stone, hits everyone within 3 blocks and leaves them Vulnerable. They take +25% physical and projectile damage for 4 seconds.

No wall, no echo. In an open field it is just a strong hit. In a corridor, a corner or an arena, it is a team-wipe setup.

Why you will love it

• Positioning matters again. Read the room, pin enemies against walls, punish packs that hug the corners.
• One swing, two hits. The blow and the echo land together. Watch the double damage numbers pop.
• Set up your team. Everyone caught by the echo turns purple. That is your 4-second window to burst them down with blades and arrows.
• Easy to learn, fun to master. Hold, release, aim for the wall.

How it works

1. Socket Impact Echo as an Ability Runestone.
2. Hold the ability key to charge (0.8 s). You move slower while charging.
3. Release: a heavy blow that launches the target.
4. Target hits a wall: shockwave (3-block radius) and Vulnerable on everyone nearby.
5. No wall: just the launch and the damage.

Crafted like the game's own Ability Runestones, from 2 Runestone Shards.

Install

• Singleplayer: drop the jar in your Mods folder and reopen the world.
• Server: drop the jar in the server's mods folder and restart.

The jar carries only its own code and data. No game assets inside.

Compatibility

• Tested in game on 0.8.0-pre.2 (pre-release). Built for 0.7.
• 35 automated tests on every build.
