Overview

Time Unbroken is a server-side Hytale mod that synchronizes the in-game time-of-day with real-world time using a configurable IANA timezone — and prevents beds from skipping the night.

Designed for immersive and hardcore servers, Time Unbroken ensures that time cannot be bypassed. Nights must be endured.

Server-side only. No client installation required.

In-game time matches real-world time based on your configured IANA timezone.

Beds no longer fast-forward time.
Configurable Full-Day Length
Define how long a full in-game day lasts in real-world hours using
realtime.day_length_hours.

Adjust day length without restarting the server using /tulength.

Commands

Command	Description
`/tutime`	Displays the current real-world time in the configured timezone
`/tulength <hours>`	View or set full in-game day length (in real-world hours)

/tulength supports decimal values, including:

0.25 (15 minutes)
1.5
2.0

Changes apply live and are saved to configuration.

Installation

Download TimeUnbroken.jar
Place it in your server’s mods/ folder
Restart the server

No client installation required.

Configuration Highlights

Key settings:

realtime.timezone — IANA timezone (e.g., Europe/London)
realtime.day_length_hours — Full in-game day length in real-world hours
realtime.smooth — Enable smooth drift correction
realtime.max_step_ticks — Maximum correction per sync
realtime.sync_interval_ticks — Sync frequency

All adjustments are server-side.
