OffhandReflex keeps your off-hand ready at all times, so you never fumble for the right tool again — a shield when you wield a weapon, a torch when you mine.
What it does
Wielding a one-handed weapon? Your shield is equipped automatically.
Mining or gathering with a tool? It switches back to your torch.
Two-handed weapons, bows, and empty hands are left untouched.
How it works
It uses your Utility bar (the off-hand slots). Keep your shield and torch there and the switch happens instantly, with no items shuffled around your inventory.
It waits until you settle on a hotbar slot before acting, so it never interferes with fast slot switching.
Every off-hand change is synchronised with the client the same way the game itself does it.
Requirements
Hytale (Early Access)
Server-side mod: install it on the server only. Nothing is needed on the client.
Installation
Close the game or server.
Drop OffhandReflex-1.0.0.jar into your Mods folder.
Start the server.
Configuration
No configuration needed. Debug logging is off by default, so the mod stays quiet in your logs.
Troubleshooting
If the off-hand does not switch, make sure your shield and torch are placed in the Utility bar slots.
If something behaves oddly, please report it together with the log file from UserData\Logs.
