🎨 Major UI Redesign Update

🖥 Dashboard UI Redesign

The MysticNameTags dashboard has been significantly redesigned to provide a cleaner and more structured admin experience.

Improvements include

  • improved overall panel layout
  • tabs now sit naturally on top of the main content area instead of floating
  • better spacing and panel hierarchy
  • cleaner summary and quick-action sections
  • improved readability for admin content
  • more polished overall visual flow

This redesign makes the dashboard feel more like a built-in management panel instead of a set of disconnected UI blocks.

🏷 Tags UI Improvements

The main Tags UI has also been improved as part of the broader UI redesign work.

Changes include

  • cleaner layout structure
  • improved visual organization
  • better spacing and presentation of tag-related information
  • improved consistency with the rest of the MysticNameTags interface
  • updated styling to better match the redesigned dashboard and modernized panel structure

These changes make browsing and selecting tags feel more polished and easier to understand.

✅ Owned Tags UI Improvements

The Owned Tags UI was also updated to better match the new design direction.

Improvements include

  • more consistent panel styling
  • improved layout readability
  • better alignment with the updated Tags UI
  • cleaner presentation of owned tag content
  • stronger visual consistency across tag-related pages

This helps unify the player-facing tag experience across the mod.

📑 Improved Tab System

The dashboard tab system has been reworked for better behavior and presentation.

Changes

  • replaced the older manual/fake tab approach with a cleaner tab-driven structure
  • improved tab alignment and anchoring
  • tabs now visually connect to the panel they control
  • active tab content updates more cleanly
  • better support for longer, scrollable tab content

This results in a more stable and maintainable UI architecture.

📊 New Integrations Diagnostics Panel

The Integrations tab has been expanded into a much more detailed diagnostic view.

New integrations tab features

  • detailed backend information

  • selected tab remains in sync more reliably
  • integration details refresh cleanly
  • dynamic dashboard fields update more predictably
  • better consistency after reloads and cache-related actions

  • debug snapshot actions
  • reload and refresh actions

🌐 Language and Message System Changes

UI overrides in lang/ are no longer supported

MysticNameTags no longer supports directly modifying UI text by overriding UI-related content in the lang directory.

Old behavior

Previously, some users could customize UI-facing text by editing language-side UI override content.

New behavior

UI-related text is now managed through dedicated data files instead.

messages.json is now the source for language/UI keys

All standard language/message keys are now expected to be managed through:

messages.json

This centralizes message handling and makes the system easier to maintain moving forward.

howitworkspanel.json now controls the “How It Works” panel

The How It Works panel is no longer intended to be customized through language overrides.

It is now configured through:

howitworkspanel.json

This gives server owners a cleaner and more explicit way to customize that panel’s content.

⚠ Important update requirement for existing servers

Servers updating to v1.1.9 will need to regenerate their language/message files.

Required action

Regenerate the language/messages data after updating.

If this is not done, servers may experience:

  • missing message keys
  • broken UI text
  • outdated panel content
  • inconsistent dashboard text rendering

This is the most important upgrade note in this release.

⚙ Configuration / Content Structure Improvements

This release continues the push toward cleaner separation between:

  • UI layout
  • translatable messages
  • configurable panel content
  • integration diagnostics content

The result is a more maintainable configuration structure for both server owners and future development.

🛠 Internal Improvements

Dashboard UI architecture cleanup

The dashboard page structure has been cleaned up to better support future expansion.

Improved panel composition

The content areas now better support section-based and scrollable informational panels.

Better maintainability for future UI work

The new layout and tab structure provide a stronger base for future dashboard and tag UI expansion.

No nameplate rendering changes in this release

No nameplate rendering or nameplate behavior changes were made in v1.1.9.
