Description
⚔️ MyPvPControls
Give every player control over their own PvP experience — without forcing the whole server to follow the same PvP rules.
PERSONAL PVP PROTECTION • PLAYER CHOICE • SERVER CONTROL • PVP AUDIT LOGS
MyPvPControls introduces a different approach to PvP:
PvP can be available without being mandatory.
Instead of deciding that an entire server or world must be either PvP ON or PvP OFF for everyone, MyPvPControls gives every player their own personal PvP protection.
- Players who enjoy combat can enable PvP.
- Players who prefer exploration, building, trading or progression can keep it disabled.
- Players looking for higher-risk fights can choose which PvP consequences they are willing to accept.
- Combat between two players is possible only when both players have PvP enabled.
- If either player has PvP disabled, player-vs-player damage is blocked.
This means peaceful and competitive players can stay together in the same world instead of being separated simply because they prefer different ways to play.
PvE deaths and normal gameplay remain unaffected.
PLAYER CONTROL — YOUR PVP, YOUR RULES
Players can open their personal PvP panel at any time with:
/pvp
No complicated command chains and no need to ask staff every time.
From one simple interface, each player can manage their own PvP preferences.
PVP ON / OFF
Choose whether you want to participate in PvP.
Combat between two players is allowed only when both players have PvP enabled.
PVP STATUS SAVE
Choose whether your PvP ON/OFF preference should be remembered after reconnecting.
ITEM DROP
Choose whether normal inventory drops are allowed when you are killed by another player.
FULL INVENTORY DROP
Choose whether a PvP death can also drop equipped gear and the rest of the inventory.
ITEM DURABILITY
Choose whether weapons and armor can lose durability during PvP.
PLAY SAFE, TAKE RISKS OR FIND YOUR OWN BALANCE.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO DESIGN PVP ON YOUR SERVER
Traditional server setups often disable PvP completely in sensitive areas such as:
SPAWNS • TRADE HUBS • TOWNS • COMMUNITY AREAS • NEW PLAYER ZONES
That protects peaceful players, but it also means that players who actually want to fight cannot use PvP there at all.
MyPvPControls gives server owners another option.
Because every player has personal PvP protection, a server can choose to reduce blanket PvP restrictions and leave PvP technically available in places where it would normally be disabled.
For example, inside the same trade hub:
- two players with PvP ON can fight each other;
- a player with PvP OFF can continue trading, building or socializing without being attacked;
- peaceful players do not need to avoid the area simply because PvP is available there;
- competitive players are not automatically prevented from fighting just because they are inside a traditionally protected social area.
The same idea can be applied to spawn areas, towns, community spaces or even an entire world.
This gives server owners the freedom to decide how much they want to rely on traditional server-side PvP restrictions and how much they want to leave to personal player choice.
IMPORTANT
MyPvPControls itself does not create or manage worlds, regions, biomes, dimensions or PvP zones.
It controls personal player protection.
THE SERVER ALWAYS HAS THE FINAL SAY
Giving players personal PvP control does not mean giving up server authority.
MyPvPControls never overrides the server's own protection rules.
Server owners can still disable or restrict PvP through:
- native world or server PvP settings;
- world configuration;
- protected worlds or dimensions;
- region protection systems;
- external protection mods such as WorldProtect.
If another system blocks PvP damage in a specific area, MyPvPControls respects that decision and does not force combat back on.
This means player choice always operates inside the limits defined by the server.
A server owner can therefore choose to:
- keep traditional protected areas where PvP must always remain disabled;
- allow personal PvP controls in selected worlds or areas;
- reduce the number of blanket PvP-disabled zones;
- or allow personal PvP protection across most of the server while keeping specific locations fully protected.
PLAYERS CHOOSE WHETHER THEY WANT TO FIGHT. THE SERVER DECIDES WHERE THAT CHOICE IS ALLOWED.
SERVER CONTROL & STAFF TOOLS
Server owners also control how MyPvPControls itself behaves and which choices are available to players.
LOCK INDIVIDUAL FUNCTIONS
Specific player options can be controlled by the server when required.
Each setting can remain under player control or be forced by the server.
This allows server owners to keep some choices flexible while enforcing others globally.
CONFIGURABLE WAIT TIMES
Servers can configure cooldowns and combat waiting periods related to PvP setting changes.
This helps prevent players from disabling PvP immediately after entering combat or rapidly switching their protection state to gain an unfair advantage.
EDITABLE RULES MESSAGE
The central Rules section shown directly inside the PvP interface can be customized to match the server's own PvP rules and policies.
This makes the interface useful not only as a settings panel, but also as a clear reminder of how PvP should be used on the server.
SEPARATE ADMINISTRATIVE ACCESS
Players manage only their own PvP preferences, while authorized staff retain access to server-side configuration and administrative controls.
Administrative access uses:
mypvpcontrols.admin
PLAYER FREEDOM WHERE IT MATTERS. SERVER CONTROL WHERE IT IS NEEDED.
PLAYER-AGREED DUELS & CLEAR RULES
MyPvPControls can also support informal, player-organized duels.
There is currently no separate duel matchmaking or challenge/accept system.
Instead, players can agree to fight using their normal PvP settings.
The dedicated Rules section inside the interface can explain the server's PvP policy directly before players fight.
For example, two players may agree that:
- Item Drop will be enabled;
- Full Inventory Drop will remain disabled;
- Item Durability will be enabled.
Those conditions can be agreed upon before the fight, while the server's Rules message can explain how such agreements should be respected.
This gives communities a simple way to organize friendly or higher-risk fights without requiring a separate duel system.
CLEAR SETTINGS • CLEAR RULES • FEWER DISPUTES
PVP KILL & AUDIT LOGGING
MyPvPControls can keep detailed records of PvP kills.
Instead of recording only who killed whom, the audit log can also include the effective PvP risk settings being used by both players at the time of the death.
This gives staff valuable context when reviewing reports, disputes or unusual situations involving PvP.
It becomes much easier to understand not only:
what happened
but also:
under which PvP conditions it happened.
This can be particularly useful when players have agreed to specific conditions before fighting.
PERFECT FOR
SURVIVAL SERVERS • Make PvP available without forcing everyone to participate
RPG SERVERS • Let players choose their own combat risk and equipment consequences
COMMUNITY SERVERS • Keep peaceful and competitive players together
MIXED PVE / PVP SERVERS • Allow both playstyles to share the same world
TRADE HUBS & SOCIAL AREAS • Allow consenting players to fight without exposing peaceful players to unwanted PvP
SPAWN & COMMUNITY ZONES • Reduce blanket restrictions while keeping personal protection available
LARGE MULTIPLAYER WORLDS • Reduce dependence on rigid server-wide PvP restrictions
BUILT FOR FLEXIBLE MULTIPLAYER SERVERS
MyPvPControls was created around one simple idea:
The presence of PvP should not mean that every player is forced to participate in it.
Players get control over their own PvP experience.
Server owners decide which options are available and how they behave.
The server can still completely disable PvP wherever necessary through world settings, configuration or external protection systems.
MyPvPControls never removes that authority.
Instead, it adds another layer of flexibility:
personal PvP protection for the places where the server chooses to allow player choice.
Staff also get useful controls and detailed audit information when something needs to be reviewed.
PERSONAL PROTECTION • SERVER CONTROL • PLAYER CHOICE
YOUR WORLD. YOUR SETTINGS. YOUR PVP.
