Mage Arena Spells

Important - Required Dependency

This mod requires Voice Cast to work.

Please make sure Voice Cast is installed alongside this mod, otherwise the voice-based spell casting system will not function.

This mod aims to recreate the spells from Mage Arena inside Hytale.

At the moment, it currently includes Fireball as the first available spell.

How it works

To cast the spell, you must:

• hold the corresponding scroll in your hand
• say "fireball" into your microphone

If your voice is recognized correctly, the spell will be cast in-game.

Crafting

All spells in this mod are planned to be craftable through the Arcanist Workbench.

About this mod

This project is also meant to serve as a demonstration of Voice Cast, a library that allows modders to bind Interactions to voice commands.

The goal is to show how voice-based casting can be used to create more immersive magic systems in Hytale.

Important

Voice chat must be enabled for this mod to work.

At the moment, Hytale does not allow voice chat in singleplayer, so this mod must be played:

• on a server, or
• in a personal world with at least one other player

Current status

This is currently a small demo mod, with more spells planned for the future.
