GlymeraSpawner — Changelog
v4.0.0
Fixed: the spinning miniature inside a spawner no longer takes damage
- The little spinning creature shown inside each spawner sits inside the solid glass block, which made the game treat it as if it were suffocating. It slowly lost health and — far more noticeably — played a hurt sound and flinched on every tick, which everyone nearby could see and hear.
- The display creature is now completely immune to damage, so it just spins quietly: no health drain, no hurt sound, no flinching.
- This only affects the decorative miniature. The real creatures a Mob Spawner spawns nearby are untouched and take and deal damage exactly as before.
v3.0.0
Fixed: loading a spawner no longer leaves a creature sitting on it
- A spawn egg always spawns its creature when it is used — including when you use one to load a spawner. That spawned creature is now reliably cleaned up: for ~5 seconds after loading, the spawner deletes any creature of exactly the type you just loaded that is sitting right on it (checked a few times a second).
- It only ever targets the creature you just loaded, in a tight radius on the block — so the spinning miniature inside, your pets, and any other nearby animals are never touched.
- The spawner's own brief "info" creature (spawned for a moment to read the loaded creature's model and loot) is likewise removed reliably now, instead of occasionally lingering on the block.
Fixed: spawners on protected ground no longer leave an unkillable creature
- When a spawner's block was removed by something other than a normal break — for example a plot/claim plugin re‑asserting a path or road over it, TNT, a
/setblock, or another plugin overwriting it — the spawner left no break event behind, so its registration survived as a "phantom". Its little in‑block display creature kept respawning itself with no block left to break, so it could not be removed by any means. - Spawners now notice when their block has been removed this way and clean themselves up: the display creature is removed and the spawner is handed back to its owner as an item (with its loaded creature preserved), exactly like a normal break. (An Item Spawner's stored inventory is lost in this case — the block, and with it the container, was already destroyed by the external source before the spawner could react.)
- The detection is fail‑safe: it only ever acts when it can positively confirm the block is really gone, so a real, intact spawner can never be removed by mistake.
- Spawners also no longer register at all if another protection plugin already blocked the placement.
v2.0.0
New: Item Spawner block
- A second spawner block that looks exactly like the Mob Spawner but with purple glowing glass, so you can tell them apart at a glance.
- It is a real container with a 27‑slot inventory. Instead of spawning creatures, it deposits the loaded creature's actual loot into its own inventory.
- Drops are pulled straight from Hytale's own loot tables and rolled with the game's own loot logic, so you get exactly what that creature would drop when killed (averaged over time). Role inheritance is resolved correctly, so creatures whose own role file doesn't name a drop list still produce.
- It produces whenever its chunk is loaded — no need to stand next to it — on the same interval as the Mob Spawner (
spawnIntervalSeconds). - When the inventory is full it pauses, and automatically resumes once you take something out.
- Loaded with a spawn egg exactly like the Mob Spawner (the spinning miniature updates to the new creature). Right‑click empty‑handed to open its inventory.
- Breaking it keeps the loaded creature and returns any stored items.
New: Mystery Spawn Egg
- A craftable golden egg that, the moment it is crafted, turns into a random spawn egg — one of all 179 creature eggs, each equally likely.
