- added Roots of Knowledge guide book; it can be crafted in a workbench and provides information about all of the mod’s features
- added Rooted Workbench, which is now used to craft all of the basic mod’s items
- added new essence types: Essence of the Harvest and Essence of Earth
- added Essence Collectors, which collect essence produced by organic processes (harvesting fully grown crops) nearby
- by default, essence collector creates essence of life, but it can be attuned to produce essence of the harvest instead
- dirt and stone can now be distilled into earth essence using an alchemical furnace
- sand can now be distilled into earth and fire essences using an alchemical furnace
- added Golemancy: Straw Golems can be crafted using Rootbound Nexus
- each golem requires a Will to perform actions
- added Harvesting Will (breaks fully grown crops and deposits drops in a nearby chest)
- essence jar recipe now requires glass bottles instead of wood
