- Added 20 new Meerkat beds, craftable at the Furniture Workbench under the Textiles category.
- Sitting Meerkats can now search for a nearby bed and claim it as their own.
- Sitting Meerkats with an assigned bed can now:
- Follow the player within a 5-block radius of their bed;
- Hide from aggressive mobs;
- Sleep inside their bed;
- Take shelter inside their bed during rain and storms.
- Sitting Meerkat without an assigned bed can now:
- Crouch while alerting players to nearby aggressive mobs;
- Crouch during rain and storms.
- Sitting Meerkats can no longer be ordered to follow the player while sleeping or hiding.

- Meerkats can now be tamed using eggs (1 egg required).
- Tamed Meerkats no longer despawn.
- Tamed Meerkats are immune to all damage.
- Players can make Tamed Meerkats sit by interacting with them while crouching.
- Sitting Meerkats will sleep during the night.
- Tamed Meerkats warn nearby players when an aggressive mob is detected and keep their distance until the threat is gone.
- Sitting Meerkats also alert nearby players when aggressive mobs are detected.
