Description
Wild Meerkats can now be tamed using eggs. Once tamed, they become invulnerable and will never despawn. You can feed them freely, and by interacting while crouching, you can command them to stay and wait. Tamed Meerkats will also warn nearby players when hostile mobs approach, keeping their distance until the danger has passed.
New crafting recipes are now available on the Furniture Workbench under the Textiles session. These allow you to create Meerkat Beds, which can be placed near your new companions. Once a bed is nearby, a Meerkat will claim it as its own, using it to sleep or to take shelter from hostile mobs, rain and storms.
Important: Tamed Meerkats do not have a permanent bond with the player who tamed them. They will always follow the last player who interacts with them.
