Alec's Tamework! v5.8.0
What's new
5.8.0 - Activity Reports and Coop Fixes - 2026-11-01
Added
TameActivityViewnow carries the tamed animal'sgender("Male", "Female", or null). The old seven-field constructor still works.tamework:companion_capture(CompanionCaptureActivityView) reports a player capturing an animal into an item, with the role it had.tamework:command_panel_open(CommandPanelOpenActivityView) reports a player opening a command item's panel.tamework:trough_fill(TroughFillActivityView) reports a player moving food into a feed trough or filling one from a bucket. Custom bucket patches need the newTameworkFeedTroughWaterFilledstep on their ChangeBlockNextpath to report water.
Fixed
- Tamework no longer crashes on startup when another mod removes the game's hit animation system.
- Births publish
tamework:breed_successagain. The call was lost when the old persistence runtime was removed, so mods listening for breeding, such as Husbandry XP, never heard about a litter. - Companions whose model has several overlapping attachment sets (such as Aures' horse skins, which layer a recolored body under the mane) no longer show misplaced manes or markings after Tamework scales, restores, or changes their attachments. Rebuilt models now list attachments in the same order as a vanilla spawn.
- Riding, gliding, swimming, and avatar flight input no longer log
Assert not in thread!errors when server shutdown has to abandon a stuck world thread. - Managed coops no longer run vanilla residents. An old coop could keep a vanilla resident list, and the game then despawned those animals at dusk and spawned untracked copies at dawn, which marked tamed animals as lost and could duplicate them once recovered. Each managed coop now empties that list when it loads: animals in the world stay as ordinary NPCs, and animals inside the coop are spawned beside it once.
- A vanilla-filled capture crate can no longer be used on a managed coop. It can still be released on the ground.
