Copyright (c) 2026 Alec (Alechilles). All rights reserved except as expressly
granted in this license.

This license is not an open source license. The source code is made available so
modders, server owners, and community developers can inspect, integrate with,
debug, and understand Alec's Tamework, but the Licensed Work may be used only
under the terms below.

1. Definitions

"Licensor" means Alec (Alechilles).

"Licensed Work" means Alec's Tamework, including its source code, object code,
build files, assets, configuration files, schemas, templates, examples,
documentation, and repository contents, except for third-party dependencies or
materials that state their own license.

"Hytale Project" means a Hytale mod, modpack, server, development tool, or
community project that uses Alec's Tamework.

"Unmodified Copy" means a copy of the Licensed Work, or a compiled artifact built
from the Licensed Work, that has not been altered except for ordinary packaging,
compression, manifest metadata required by the package format, dependency
metadata, or configuration through documented project descriptors, runtime
settings, public APIs, or supported asset integration points.

"Tamework System" means any system, framework component, behavior model,
configuration schema, role template, action, sensor, filter, motion, patching
mechanism, companion-management flow, ownership flow, naming flow, command flow,
progression flow, spawner flow, UI flow, or other reusable implementation
provided by the Licensed Work.

"Example Materials" means example assets, example configuration files, sample
templates, sample role wiring, sample interaction definitions, documentation
snippets, and other files clearly presented by Licensor as examples for
integrating with Alec's Tamework.

2. Allowed Use

Subject to this license, Licensor grants you a worldwide, royalty-free,
non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

- read and evaluate the Licensed Work;
- use Alec's Tamework in source or object form for your own development and
  testing;
- run Alec's Tamework in production as part of a Hytale Project;
- integrate with Alec's Tamework through its documented descriptors,
  configuration files, asset hooks, command surfaces, schemas, and public APIs;
- create project-specific assets and configuration files that reference or use
  Alec's Tamework as a dependency;
- copy, adapt, and distribute Example Materials as part of your own Hytale
  Project, including public mods, modpacks, and server projects;
- distribute Unmodified Copies of Alec's Tamework as a dependency of a Hytale
  Project; and
- bundle an Unmodified Copy of Alec's Tamework with a Hytale Project where the
  packaging format or distribution platform supports dependency bundling.

These rights apply to free, paid, commercial, and non-commercial Hytale Projects,
as long as your use stays within the scope of this license.

Use of Example Materials does not make your project a derivative work of Alec's
Tamework by itself. You may use examples as starting points for your own assets,
configs, templates, and integration files. This permission does not allow copying
or adapting Alec's Tamework source code, runtime implementation, reusable
framework internals, or non-example assets into another project.

3. Conditions

When you distribute Alec's Tamework with a Hytale Project, you must:

- include this license or a clear link to it;
- preserve copyright, license, and attribution notices in the Licensed Work;
- identify Alec's Tamework as Alec's software when attribution is shown; and
- avoid implying that Licensor endorses, sponsors, or officially supports your
  project unless Licensor has given separate written permission.

4. Restrictions

Except with Licensor's separate written permission, you may not:

- modify, adapt, translate, port, decompile, reverse engineer, or create
  derivative works of the Licensed Work;
- distribute modified copies, forks, ports, translations, patch sets, or
  derivative works of the Licensed Work;
- copy, extract, reimplement, or adapt Tamework Systems into another public mod,
  framework, toolkit, library, or server product, except for use of Example
  Materials as expressly allowed by this license;
- redistribute the Licensed Work as a standalone download, package, SDK, library,
  toolkit, mirror, or repository clone, except as an Unmodified Copy bundled with
  or required by a Hytale Project;
- remove, obscure, or alter copyright, attribution, license, provenance, or
  branding notices;
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense, resell, or white-label the Licensed Work;
- use the Licensed Work to build or support a competing framework, companion
  system, tameable NPC framework, asset patching framework, or substantially
  similar reusable modding toolkit;
- use Alec's names, logos, project names, or branding in a way that suggests
  endorsement, sponsorship, or official status; or
- use the Licensed Work in a way that violates law or intentionally bypasses
  access controls, platform rules, attribution requirements, or abuse-prevention
  mechanisms.

5. Private Server and Custom Permission

Private servers may use unmodified Alec's Tamework under Section 2 without a
separate agreement.

Private forks, custom modifications, adaptations of Tamework Systems into a
private mod, white-label arrangements, modified redistribution, commercial
partnerships, and other uses outside this license require separate written
permission from Licensor.

A separate written agreement may allow a specific server, organization, or
project to modify, adapt, embed, or privately use Tamework Systems under terms
agreed with Licensor. No such rights are granted unless they are stated in that
separate written agreement.

6. Source Availability and Forks

Access to the source code does not grant rights beyond this license. A public
code host may provide the technical ability to view, clone, or fork a repository,
but this license does not grant permission to use, modify, publish, or distribute
a fork except as expressly allowed above.

7. Contributions

Unless Licensor has agreed otherwise in writing, any issue, pull request, patch,
suggestion, asset, configuration, documentation change, or other contribution
you submit to Licensor for inclusion in the Licensed Work is submitted under
terms that allow Licensor to use, modify, relicense, sublicense, distribute, and
commercialize it as part of the Licensed Work without restriction or payment.

8. Third-Party Materials

Third-party dependencies, tools, libraries, assets, services, or platform
materials remain governed by their own licenses and terms. This license does not
grant rights to use third-party materials beyond those separate licenses.

9. Termination

Your rights under this license terminate automatically if you violate this
license. After termination, you must stop using and distributing the Licensed
Work and destroy copies under your control, except where Licensor reinstates your
rights in writing.

10. No Warranty

THE LICENSED WORK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICENSOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR
FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR COMPUTER
FAILURE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE LICENSED WORK OR THIS LICENSE.

12. Separate Permission

Uses outside this license require separate written permission from Licensor. This
includes private forks, custom server arrangements, modified copies, modified
redistribution, standalone redistribution, white-labeling, competing frameworks,
or any use case where the scope is unclear.
