Summon Anytime with Items - Bahamut Episode
Join to FFXV Modding Discord to learn, create or just to see the new mods on the go!
This mod overhauls the summoning system in Final Fantasy XV, allowing you to call upon the seven summons (Titan, Ramuh, Leviathan, Shiva, Garuda, Ifrit, Carbuncle and Bahamut) on demand using specific consumable items. Break free from the base game's summoning restrictions and wield the power of the Astrals and their Messengers whenever and wherever you need them.
Flagrum installing options
You need to install the mod with Flagrum – https://github.com/Kizari/Flagrum/releases
Choose the difficulty that is equals to the one you use in the base game:
- Normal Difficulty: Only install 'Summon Anytime'. Summon damage reduced to 1/6.
- Full mods - Compatibility: This option will install both options from below (3. Hard / 4. Text Editing & Language mods). Install 'Summon Anytime: Full Mods Compatible).
- Hard Difficulty mod - Compatibility: If you have installed Hard Difficulty mod, you will need to install 'Summon Anytime - Bahamut Episode' and '(Optional) Compat. Hard Difficulty mod' (follow its readme to install it). Summon damage reduced to 1/2.
- Text Editing & Language mods - Compatibility: If you have installed any text editing or language mod like Rinual's Mod Menu or Thai language, you will need to install 'Summon Anytime - Text & Lang Mods Comp'.
(Note: In the base game the summon damage ignores defense and is based on Noctis level multiplied by a number, which is what I changed. This mod's design philosophy is to focus on strategic party buffs rather than granting free damage.
This mod is designed to be played on a harder difficulty, as it makes the game significantly easier. It is highly recommended to use Hard Difficulty mod from Nexus Mods that uses Cheat Engine. I have also another mod that slightly increase the combat challenge, called 'Hardcore Combat Tweaks').
How it works
- It does not deactivate the base game's normal summoning mechanics. It simply adds a new method for summoning.
- You receive a consumable item if you have the specific Mark for each summon, just as you do in the base game. (e.g., Mark of the Archaean for Titan).
- The consumable items are named like Mega Stones from Pokémon and appear in your consumable items like Potions or Ethers do. (e.g., Leviathanite for Leviathan).
- To balance their immense power, using one summoning item will consume all others. Their damage is also reduced to maintain gameplay balance.
- You can recover all summoning items by resting.
- Summons also grant unique, thematic buffs to the entire party (even guests), making them more interesting and strategically valuable (Some of them are not even possible to have in the base game!).

Buffs

All 12 Languages + Thai (with compatibility installing option)
The translation it's a mix from own game's terms on each language and AI translation. (Russian and both Chinese are less polished. Report any issue!) :D

Text Editing & Language Mods Compatibility
Summon Anytime with Items is now compatible with these mods choosing the installing options in Flagrum:
- Rinual's Mod Menu (Rinual)
- Final Fantasy 15 MOD Thai AI (Maimaomaiplae)
- English Subtitles for Japanese Voice-Over (The Box)
- Metric System for English Language (argon)
- New English Localization (Matt_LC)
- Ignis Localization Edit (World of Ignis)
- Sania's Fishing Challenge (mrsflowerpot)
Known issues
- Summoning only while being Noctis. If you select a summoning item while not controlling Noctis, the summoning sequence will begin, but if you do not switch to Noctis quickly, the process will fail. This will result in the loss of all summoning items until resting.
- Ifrit only works before battle. If you summon Ifrit In middle of combat you will receive the buffs to the party, lose all summoning items, but Ifrit will NEVER appear until you use the item before battle. This is because he's not really summoned like the other 6, he joins as a guest. This limitation was necessary to prevent game-breaking bugs.
- Ifrit only appears in battle after using REGROUP from Ignis, and then FIRAGA from Ifrit. Both are techniques that can only be used by Noctis. You need to do these steps on every battle. But because he's a guest, you can summon him before battle, resting, and summoning another one while having Ifrit by your side!
- Bahamut resets battles in North & South Cleigne, except in dungeons. It's best to use him at the beginning of the battle. That's the price we pay for being able to summon him anywhere. Specific areas include Vesperpool, Malmalam, and Caem.
Oh, so you're still here... Ehm, thanks for reading the whole thing I guess. Ah, so wanna know how to get Carbuncle? Yes, yes, because the other six are easy to know how to get them. But Carbuncle? He's not even in the game, normally, but maybe he is around somewhere? Think about it, maybe you will find Carbuncle!
Wait, still here? You wanna more? Uhmm... I can give you a curiosity. Maybe, this is not the last big update.
DEV Notes
- It's my first mod, so it may needs to fix bugs. Please, report bugs to me and I will try to fix them asap! We can make an even greater FFXV modding community, joins the server (link at bottom). If you want to help me to upgrade the mod or need my help at modding, don't doubt to ask.
- Did you know that if you're with Noctis in Stone/Stop status, he won't summon? Except if you summon Leviathan. She cures those debuffs, so useful.
